Glenn Myers

Functional I have over 25 years experience as a machinist. I

summary have over 15 years on Mastercam. I can do off-line

programming including 3D with solid models. I also

have experience as a foreman. I can run a variety

of machines both manual and CNC. I have experience

with a number of controls including, Haas, Mazak,

Fanuc Okuma, Fadal and others on both VMC's, HMC's

and Lathes. I also do contract programming for all

types of machines including lathes, mills, wire

edm, turret presses, and other flat pattern work as

well as multi-axis milling machines. Most of these

companies are doing work for Lockheed on the F-35

and F-22 as well as other programs. I have always

been very hands on person and worked as a member of

the team as well as being the leader. I believe the

best way to lead is by example. I have experience

on Cad systems, AutoCad, Pro-E Wildfire,Catia 4 and

5, and SolidWorks. Cam systems I have experience on

are, MasterCam X3, SmartCam Free Form, Gibbs Cam,

and Unigraphics. I do all types of fixture designs

to increase productivity and also custom tools as

needed. I try to stay as up to date with tooling as

it comes out as this is also a way to improve

process times.

Programmer/machinist

I have been doing contract programming and

machining on MasterCam X3 for job shops doing

aerospace work for the JSF program for three, four,

and five-axis milling machines both horizontal and

vertical. And some on mill-turn machines. I design

fixtures and recommend tooling to do the

jobs in the most productive way possible.

2002 - 3-2007 K and D Tool and Die Rowlett, TX

Programmer/machinist

Here I program parts on Mastercam version 10, for

progressive dies and other job shop work. I also

set-up and run parts on Mazak, kitamura and

Leadwell VMC's. I also set-up and run manual mills

lathes and grinders. I help with the design of the

dies as well as fixtures and other tooling

components. We also did work for Lockheed, Bell and

other aerospace co.

Programmer/foreman

Here I set-up and ran parts on manual and CNC

lathes and mills for aerospace companies. I also

did all the programming for the shop on mastercam.

I was also responsible for the workflow through the

shop as well as the assignment of jobs to other

employees. This was a small shop and I was in

charge of tooling cost as well as keeping up with

machine time versus quote time and helped on

quoting new jobs.

Here I was the Foreman over the tooling department.

I was responsible for scheduling of the mold

changes and the repair of the molds as well as

fixtures and other needs plant wide. I programmed

on Mastercam and did most of the R and D work on

new molds to get the ready for production. This

was a tier 1 supplier for the automotive industry.

I also implemented LEAN-manufacturing process in

the tooling department and helped implement it

plant wide. While here we went through ISO and QS

audits and received both certifications. I was also

responsible for design and building of fixtures for

the production machines as well as other things

needed throughout the plant. I was responsible for

keeping up with tooling budget as well as future

estimates on tooling and production cost as the

plant grew.
