. Install/configure over 30 HP9000 (T, K, V, N, and

RP8400 Class servers), 20 Sunfire and Enterprise

Class servers from Sun, 7 Dell and Compaq servers for

running RedHat Linux.

. Work with vendors to resolve hardware issues, install

new hardware and upgrades

. Work as part of a team responsible for maintaining

and supporting around 400 Unix/Linux servers to

restart databases, then mount BCV's to a different

physical server to perform the back.

. Experience in supporting EMC Storage Area Networks to

include EMC Symmetrix and Connectrix hardware along

with assigning Disks through ECC Center to various

server types (Unix, Linux and Windows based),

Powerpath software, the use of BCV's and using shell

script to shutdown databases, copy production disks

to the BCV's, restart databases, then mount BCV's to

a different physical server to perform the back.

. Assist Vendor with Install, setup, and

maintenance/support of STK 9710, with Sun Workstation

running Sun Solaris with ACSLS software, L80, L700,

L700e Tape Silo's and HP's Line of SureStore Tape

Library's both SCSI and Fibre attached. Hardware

diagnostics based on error messages received from the

Unix server, the back up software, and visual

inspection of the LED on the Silo and tape drives. In

charge of maintenance of the ACSLS workstation to

include Solaris patches and reviewing ACSLS logs when

problems occurred, running periodic silo inventories

and addition of new tape drives with in ACSLS.

. Install/Set up Client backup solutions using Legato

Networker (using 1 master server, 9 remote storage

nodes, and 10 clients) for the desired backup

stragedy decided upon from our clients. Set

up/administration of Legato licenses and modules to

include DDS (Dynamic Drive Sharing), NMO (Networker

Module for Oracle), remote storage node, and

silo/autochanger.

. Install/Set up Client backup solutions using Veritas

Netbackup (with 1 Master server, 8 Media servers, and

200 - 300 windows and Unix clients) for the desired

backup stragedy decided upon from our clients. Set

up/administration of Veritas SSO (Shared Storage

Option) and Vaulting option.

. Assist DBA with the install of Oracle (Versions

include 7.x, 8i, and 9i ), and Oracle related

applications (such as Oracle Financials) along with

Informix..

. Assist applications team with the install and support

of various Unix software to include Peoplesoft,

MQSeries, Cobol, JDE, EDI, Service Center, Vista,

Informix, etc..

. Assist Oracle DBA with setup and Config of Oracle's

Hot backup utilities (RMAN and EBU)

. Perform OS, and OS related software, upgrades, Patch

maintenance and Kernel tuning.

. Experienced in MC ServiceGard. Starting/stopping

packages. Moving packages from one server to another

with in the cluster.
