. Key member of team implementing SunGard's InTrader Processing System to

manage securities transactions, funding, safekeeping, and interest rate

swaps derivatives modules for The South Financial Group's investment

portfolios which totaled approximately $3.6 billion. Results: This new

platform provided the organization with more comprehensive and robust

trading, accounting, and reporting capabilities while reducing application

support and infrastructure costs versus in-sourced solutions.

. Identified and recommended improved investment portfolio collateral

management opportunities to the Treasury Group. Results: Improved use of

the Bank's assets reduced overall funding costs and improved

. Led study to establish updated (FASB 91) accounting for nonrefundable

fees and costs associated with lending, committing to lend, or purchasing

a loan or group of loans for The South Financial Group. Results: Ensured

compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory agency requirements.

Updated costs provided improved loan yield details to be used in making

strategic decisions concerning loan portfolios.

. Designed and developed FTP, production, and trending report packages

across multiple platforms. Results: Increased reporting accuracy, improved

delivery time, and provided senior leaders with more comprehensive data

. Automated CD and Loan pricing models using Microsoft Excel and Visual

Basic macros to reduce manual data entry. Results: Improved efficiency and

by ensuring precise pricing and reduced month end Funds Transfer Pricing

validation times.

. Built and launched automated query for external department to export

loan, time, and transaction account balances from the Data Warehouse and

AS400 systems. Results: Retail Banking is now able to validate nightly
