My position focused on meeting the business needs of the global

Research/Development (R&D) and the Marketing team. By analyzing complex

business problems and assessing how automated systems can be implemented to

solve them. Provided specialized project support by developing and

implementing technology-based solutions. Gathering data and analyzing

business needs in consultations with both team directors and end-user to

create systems to track confidentiality agreements, negotiated and

reconciled purchase requisitions for projects. In 2009 worked closely with

the R&D lab manager to develop modifications for the analytical database by

troubleshooting the data integrity issues. Internal departments gained

information needed for their business areas as close coordination with them

was required to design the R&D intranet webpage. In 2010 I facilitated a

business improvement project which included collaboration with IT, Sales,

various R&D team members in addition to the business partner to ensure top

quality sample delivery and a new customer follow-up program for final

product sale. Coordinated work with cross-functional project leaders,

monitoring, and reporting on project status. Using the Lean Six Sigma

process made recommendations to identify new techniques/technology and

concepts to add value to the projects final business processes.

Verizon Wireless Duties Continued

. Recruited members from all departments within the company to build

project teams of 3 - 10 members. This lead to stronger customer

relations and customer satisfaction when projects were completed.

. Managed 5 - 7 mid sized projects concurrently and successfully

completed 20 projects in the year 2000.

. Increased utilization of NT servers by combining in house

applications together. Servers that were running 1 application

were rebuilt to run 3 -4 applications concurrently.

. Completed 90% of all IT projects assigned on schedule and within

budget.

. Implemented desktop hardware and software configuration change

projects that affected more than 800 workstations that existed on

both LAN and WAN with less than 10% production time affected.

. Built from box to production a helpdesk resource that would be used

to track and resolve all internal calls to IT.

. Experienced in nation wide/enterprise wide projects working with 15

billing systems and project managers from several states to

complete enterprise project for the company. To increase customer

satisfaction with products such as 411 directory assistance and

partnerships with other company's such as OnStar.

CHANGE MANAGEMENT

Responsible for the coordination of activities necessary in the

implementation of IT projects, as assigned by the IT management team.

Recommendations would be presented to the IT management team for system

changes, modifications and/or enhancements when appropriate. I managed the

CommNet Cellular IT Change Management Process (CMP), which includes

management of changes to all production environments. Quality assurance

responsibilities within the CMP included ensuring supportability,

documentation, training of support personnel, monitoring, recovery

processes, and integration with other systems, scheduling and communication

of changes throughout the department and company.

Cellular Commserver Administration: Unix / AIX RS6000 Monitoring/

troubleshooting, and upgrading programs that carried switch data to

the switch.

MOSAIX Dialer: Unix / HPUX 10.20 that interfaced with Alpha / VMS

system. Changes to dialer system included automating dialer list,

upgrading the operating system HPUX 7.01 to 10.20 as well as the

Mosaix software from 8.0.3 to 9.1, and upgrading the Campaign director

workstations from Windows 3.1 to Windows NT 4.0 version 3.3 CDW

software. Coordination of the dialer feeds from an Oracle database to

the dialer; addressed issues on planning and supporting changes,

upgrades, and interfaces to the system, including bi-directional data

feeds.

VAX Administration. VAX 7800 / VMS Responsible for daily maintenance,

scheduling software, backups and Oracle support that ran on the VAX

system; involved in the retirement of the machine and replacement with

the new Alpha cluster.
