Objective

I am seeking long term, full time employment which allows me to use and

enhance my civil engineering talents while providing career advancement

opportunities and a sustainably rewarding lifestyle. I aspire to a

reciprocal relationship by becoming trained and educated beyond required

tasks.

Education and Certifications

BSCE, Brigham Young University, focus in water resources - August 2006,

E.I.T.: April, 2006; I passed the National Professional Engineering

Examination and qualify for professional licensure as of July, 2010.

Professional Experience

Albert A. Webb Associates- (2007-Current) Direct and conduct onsite and

offsite hydrology and hydraulics studies. Design BMPs to meet NPDES

requirements. Conduct master drainage plan studies and exhibits for

regional planning purposes. Create project schedules and budgets, develop

proposals and define scopes while directing drafting and administrative

support staff and manage their workloads. Design and review potable, non-

potable, storm drain, and sewer pipelines. Develop specific plan standards

for water quality and storm drain design guidance. Create drainage and

grading plans for residential and commercial developments. Develop site

design concepts and construction phase documents.

Neil O. Anderson Associates- (2006-2007) Designed residential structures,

culverts, canals, and grading plans for various types of sites. Conducted

geotechnical field investigations and various inspections of utility and

structural constructions. Maintained records and documented project

progress and/or shortfalls.

L.E.I. Engineering and Stantec Consulting- (Intern; 7 mos. at 2 firms)

Assist in residential structural engineering tasks. Perform hydrology and

planning tasks for ski resort mountain planning activities.

Skills and Abilities

I am resourceful; I know how to research information to solve problems and

I have a "can-do" attitude when problems arise. I am a proficient writer

and I communicate effectively; my communication skills, both verbal and

written, often receive positive feedback. When I am assigned a lead role

I promote teamwork by example, expectation, and reward. I can guide myself

and my team-members toward goals in a positive manner. I have a strong

aptitude for creating feasible designs in many disciplines. I have

experience using computer programs such as, Excel, Visual Basic

programming, AutoCad, TerraModel, WSPG (hydraulics), CivilD (hydrology),

HEC-RAS, RiverCad, HELE, and all of Microsoft Works Suite to enhance my

performance.

Sample of Completed Projects

-Hydrograph development and scenario modeling for a 25,000-acre watershed

(Offsite Hydrology study for Kohl Ranch Specific Plan; Thermal, CA)

utilizing CivilD software. Results used for master drainage planning.

-24-inch x 1-mile steel (CML,TW/CMC) water main (plans,specifications, and

construction support).

-City of Perris (CA) Master Drainage Plan, including preliminary storm

drain sizing.

-Simultaneously designed and constructed 15-inch water and 30-inch sewer

(plans and specifications).

-Concrete trapezoidal channel design including structural elements for

headwalls, culverts, and parapets.

Volunteerism

I am currently enrolled as a volunteer "spotter" for the National Weather

Service. I report quantifiable reports for storm events and severe

weather. I am also a "Mountain Host" with the Snow Valley Mountain Resort

Ski Patrol where I assist guests and Ski Patrol employees in many differing

capacities such as hill setup and first aid. I have often taken the

opportunity to participate in volunteer-related events.

Hobbies and Interests

I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, alpine skiing, mountain

biking, meteorology, and rock climbing. I have climbed several of our

nation's tallest mountains. I am also artistically inclined; I enjoy

drawing, photography, wood-working, architecture, music, and ceramics. I

enjoy volunteering for my local Ski Patrol at Snow Valley Mountain Resort,

as well as in many other ways. My ambitions are to succeed in personal and

professional ventures through applied training and education. I have an

entrepreneurial spirit and I am not afraid to try something new. All of

these interests are in the shadow of my love for my friends and my family.
