Resume:

Roman Snitko

I'm a web developer and I'm **

*****.******@*****.***

Short summary

I worked on different projects as a programmer, front-end engineer and I

also made UI design for web-applications and web sites. I have 6 years

experience in the industry and a number of projects built from top-down.

Skills:

html & css (cross-browser, valid, ie6-able, html4/5)

6 years experience

javascript (OO) & jQuery

2 years experience

Ruby and Rails

2 years, 4 personal projects built from top-down (starting from UI design

to setting up the server and deploying the app), worked for startups and

big companies. TDD & rspec, shoulda, factory_girl, factory_girl, SASS

My contributions to the opensource: Bananas and Mmmenu

Photoshop

I make simple and nice UI for web applications and websites. I run

100redesigns.com and each week I make 1 redesign of another company

website.

Linux

Ubuntu on both my desktop and the server. Macbook as a laptop.

Git

Long time ago I used svn, but I totally forgot it.

Personal qualities:

Good time management

in almost all of my projects, I used to set deadlines and was able to stick

to them.

Good writing and verbal skills

see my blog and my podcast.

Experience:

My own projects (that's Rails):

dddone.com, resubj.com, teachmate.org, quotty.com, sharkit.ru

I've worked for:

insales.ru, wapstart.ru and marvelous.ru (my current workplace).

I'd like to work

With the company, that needs to rebuild its website and is seeking for a

person who knows every single part of this process and who's able to take

over it.

Or within a programmers team in a development company or a startup.

Things you should know about me:

I live in Russia, but I'd like to move to US, Canada, Australia or New

Zealand. I speak English fluently (listen to my podcast). I would consider

working remotely for a while, if it's necessary.

I started programming because I liked building web applications and

watching how they work. I wouldn't say I'm a total techie and I don't now

how compilers work (yet). I compensate with my frontend skills. I pay

attention to the quality of the code and I don't avoid refactoring. I have

a degree, but in an unrelated field. If credentials matter, then we're

probably not a good match.

I run 3 miles every day and go to the gym, because that makes me smarter.

Finally, here's my picture:
