Oracle Applications Manager (June 2001 - 2010)
Tyco SimplexGrinnell, Westminster, MA. Tyco International Ltd. is a
diversified manufacturing and service company which manufactures, services,
and installs fire protection and security systems, flow control valves and
specialty products for the Life-Safety Industry.
IT Manager reporting to the Director of Applications responsible for Oracle
applications development, capacity planning, financial planning,
management and coordination of all activities for multiple concurrent
projects within the constraints of scope, time, quality, and cost.
Manage Oracle Developers responsible for 7x24 support of the enterprise
applications including Oracle EBusiness Suite, Aceva -an Accounts
Receivables Collections software package, IVR Call Management systems, Baan
Manufacturing, Data warehouse, PeopleSoft and Hyperion Enterprise.
Strengths in project management, technical problem solving, Team management
and client service delivery. Projects included:
. Oracle CRM 12i Implementation - Efforts included 3rd party software
upgrades, migration from IBM P5 servers to IBM P6 servers, etc

infrastructure and business teams. This involved managing the
test environments and creating testing strategies for both
system testing as well as performance.
o Managed application and functional team tasks to Upgrade Oracle
from 11.5.7 to 11.5.10
. 40.5 million Project to Convert the Legacy Service System to Oracle
Service and Dispatching Modules
o As part of a company merger - Converted and merged over 100
distributed Dos Databases
o with another companies IDMS database into one Oracle
environment.
o Managed the development and design of conversion Modules and

o Managed the deployment for 120 district offices

. Supported the conversion of the Legacy Accounts Receivable platform to

o This involved both the US and Canadian districts.
