PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

1996 to Present: ID&A Associates, Inc., Partner, Vice President

Partner in a small firm of two architects and two interior designers.

Accomplished in all phases of interior architecture for a variety of

projects. In addition to traditional role of project architect, acted as

Chief Financial officer, active in all marketing efforts, client and

project development, and director of furniture procurement for clients.

Examples of a few major projects:

The Fort Worth Club

Complete renovation of the 11th floor of the historic 80 year old downtown

building. The floor consists of member dining and lounging facilities.

The new interior design keeps the Club's elegant, yet comfortable

atmosphere and also upgrades the building infrastructure. The project also

included complete new HVAC systems, electrical upgrades, new energy

efficient windows, and ADA compliant restrooms and a complete new kitchen.

7-Eleven Incorporated

Demonstrates ability to handle several projects at once. Provided

architectural design services and project management for 150 DFW area

stores for the VCOM machine. Also remodeled approximately 65 stores in the

Dallas area under the restore program. Other services have included an

imaging program for stores in South Africa, design assistance for new

prototypical store design, design of a prototypical store remodel, and

providing assistance in assembling design and finish standard books for

regional managers.

Coca-Cola Enterprises

Completed an office expansion into existing empty manufacturing space.

Several ongoing projects over the years included generating CAD as-built

plans of the entire facility. Also completed several space planning and

site utilization studies.

Also involved in 34 different residential projects ranging from kitchen and

bath remodels, additions and an entire home.

1991 to 1996: MMB Design, Sole Proprietor

Operated as a sole practitioner with two contract interior designers.

Began by completing projects started while with PLM Design. This included

the completion of The Furniture Standardization Program and The Office

Building Space and Environment Standards Study for the US Department of

State. Also served as the interior design consultant to the architectural

firm of Arquitectonica for the US Embassy in Lima, Peru.

Other major projects included:

New York Life Insurance

Provided new offices for one and a half floors of the regional customer

support offices. Project included executive offices, extensive open office

areas, large computer room and training facilities.

Prestonwood Country Club, Hills Club of Prestonwood, Signature Athletic

Club

The remodel of Prestonwood included the following areas:, entrance,

vestibule, lobby, meeting rooms, dining rooms, cocktail lounge, restrooms,

mixed grill and 19th hole. The Ballroom remodel was completed separately.

Other projects for this same client include a pool and cabana building,

golf course restroom and a deck addition for the Hills Club of Prestonwood

as well as interior remodeling for the Signature Athletic Club.

Emler Swim School, Inc.

Expansion of an existing swim school in Plano. Project included the

addition of a second indoor pool, pool equipment area, new restrooms,

offices and observation area.

1975 to 1991: PLM Design, Inc., from Project Architect to Vice President

of Architecture

Project construction budgets range from a few thousand dollars to an excess

of 15 million, with most emphasis on corporate interiors. Project sizes

vary from custom furniture pieces and single rooms to 240,000 square feet.

Specialty projects include government studies, computer facilities,

research facilities, manufacturing, food service, banking, security

trading, audio-visual, a US Embassy and country clubs.

Project architect and principal author for two studies / standardization

projects for the U.S. Department of State. These studies were:

The Furnishings Standardization Program, DOS/A/FBO/OPS/IDF

This program included an in depth analysis of existing embassy operations

(mostly office space), review of existing guidelines for space utilization

and furnishings, recommend revisions, develop prototypical office layouts,

evaluate furniture for all conditions, recommend procurement and

installation procedures, and write specifications for furniture

procurement.

Office Building Space and Environment Standards Study, DOS/A/FBO/BDE/ESB

This study included evaluating space utilization of eight existing embassy

buildings, comparing FBO standards to that of other governmental agencies,

developed new space standards, created a design module with typical space

standards all in hard metric, and developed a computer database program for

use in planning and information tracking for all spaces in an embassy.
