during more than two years included project responsibility from pre-

development thru post-occupancy, implementing solutions for its Retail

Independence Park Bungalow: Review and manage costs and schedule. Provide

the Commission on Buildings, prior to presentation to City

Council.

Ordinances: Life Safety & High Rise and Stairway Re-entry

Ordinances: Developed ordinances in conjunction with other city

departments - notably Fire Department, MOPD and others - and

outside engineering consultants. Provided technical knowledge of

planning, design and construction of historic high-rises in

Chicago in addition to legislative direction. Proposed and

negotiated with other city departments' substantive changes and

exceptions to proposed Ordinances to obtain equitable legislation

as an alternate to mandatory retroactive sprinklering of all

existing high-rises in Chicago and initial requirements of the

Stairway Re-entry Ordinance.

Wright College Campus - Chicago, Il. - 500,000 SF

PBC & CCC Project: Project Architect and Construction Management

activities for the architectural and interior design of this City

Colleges facility on a 20 acre site. Development of multiple

design contracts to develop (17) seventeen multiple prime

contracts awarded for the construction of the new campus. Direct

responsibility for the development of (3) three FF&E contracts for

a total of $12,000,000.00 of equipment. Total Cost of

construction: $100,000,000.00

Design included the following specialty areas:

Performing Arts Center, art center and gallery, TV

recording studio, library, administrative offices,

educational spaces, labs, athletic facilities.

VA Hospital -- Multiple Projects - Hines, Il.

VA - Federal Requirements & Guidelines: Project Manager for the

coordination and execution of multiple projects under Federal

requirements and guidelines. Provided intensive assistance to owner

with respect to budgeting cost control, coordination of work and

contracting. Responsibilities from marketing presentation for the

award of a service contract and for a new 50,000 SF spinal chord

injury center (design-build delivery). Responsibilities included

preparation of contracts, fees, teaming, design, presentations and

approvals from client representatives and construction

administration and commissioning. Service contract projects

included office renovations, exterior building work, evaluation of

existing roof structures, warehouse conversion to office space,

installation of elevators and other minor projects. Initial service

contract duration of two years was renewed for an additional two

years.

West Side Learning Center (West Side CTC) - 4624 W. Madison Street -

Chicago, IL

PBC & CCC Project: Project manager for the development of bid

documents for two equipment contracts for the project.

Equipment bids included casework, millwork, and specialized shop

equipment for a variety of technical training programs. FF&E

contracts: $5,000,000. Project cost $50,000,000.

Project included the following specialty areas:

Faculty offices, classrooms, science labs, language labs, and

technical labs.

Humbolt Park Vocational Education Center- 1645 N. California Avenue -

Chicago, Il

PBC & CCC Project: Project manager for the development of bid

documents for two equipment contracts for the project. Equipment

bids included casework, millwork, and specialized shop equipment

for technical training programs. FF&E contracts: $2,000,000.

Project cost $20,000,000.

Project included the following specialty areas:

Faculty offices, classrooms, science labs, language labs, and

technical labs.

University of Illinois Student Center - Van Buren & Peoria Street -

Chicago, Il

Capital Development Board Project: Project Manager/Project

Architect for the renovation of a 5 storey heavy timber structure

to house the Student Center and (4) four other university

departments. Responsibilities ranged from the planning of program

spaces to the development of construction documents and bid

documents for multiple contracts and construction administration.

project consisting of erecting an inpatient facility above an

existing office occupancy, including new mechanical systems for the

entire facility. Responsible for the project from programming,

presentation to the public, design, bid and construction thru

occupancy. Located within Chicago Park District land, project

required coordination with Park representatives and Friends of the

Project Manager from design to occupancy for a pedestrian sky bridge

across Addison Avenue. Project Cost: $5,000,000.00. Project area:

5,000 SF.

National-Louis University - Loop Campus - 122 South Michigan Ave,

Project Manager for a fast track project that required completing

all work - from design thru occupancy - within 6 months. The

campus was to be located in an existing mixed use high-rise

structure in the Chicago Loop. Responsible for the management of

the project from contract development and negotiations thru

occupancy. Scope of the interior renovation of this new 140,000 SF

Campus included independent mechanical and electrical systems.
