Sr. Report Developer/SQL Developer April 2009 – March Visio

2010 PeopleSoft

Computer Technologies Consultant, Inc., Seabrook, Maryland

Lead Report Developer on the COPRS (Country Operational Planning and Reporting System) II

Project, which is a U.S. State Department funded application developed as the primary accounting

and planning tool to support The President's Emergency Plan For AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), a

multibillion commitment by the government to fight the global HIV/AIDS pandemic.

My responsibilities included the design and development of all defined (non ad-hoc) reports using

Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) 2008; based on a hybrid Star/Snowflake Schema

model. There were a total of 380 reports developed, including one main report that is based on 42

Sub-Reports. There were 2 versions of Each Reports, 1 for HQ Staff and 1 for Field Offices, most of

these reports were parameterized.

Other responsibilities included the development of complex report business logic (stored procedures)

and the creation of views to support the reports. Worked closely with DBA and provided quality

assurance assistance with regard to the enforcement of business rules in the data layer. Deployment

of reports to 3 different environment including Development, Testing and Production servers.

Maintenance of the Reporting Server. Testing of all reports in each environment to make sure that

they performed as planned. Each version of the reports was controlled using Visual Source Safe.

Sr. Report Developer/SQL Developer October 2008 – February

2009

enZo Software Solutions, (Simplexity, Inc. Formerly known as InPhonic, Inc.) Largo, Maryland

Re-joined the team to assist in re-factoring approximately 40 reports to reflect company name change

and satisfy other business requirements.

Sr. Report Developer/SQL Developer February 2008 – October

2008

enZo Software Solutions, (Tidal Enterprises, Inc.) Baltimore, Maryland

Senior Report Developer on the TidalTV team where my primary responsibilities were the

development of all site traffic reports. These reports, written in Microsoft SQL Server Reporting

Services, rely upon some reasonably complex stored procedures to produce the desired results. My

role on this team was the design and development of report artifacts and stored procedures. Team

Tidal uses Microsoft SQL Server 2005 as their data repository.

Sr. Report Developer/SQL Developer November 2006 – January

2008

enZo Software Solutions, (InPhonic, Inc.) Largo, Maryland

Senior Report Developer on a team of 6 other .NET Developers where my duties were the design and

development of all report based artifacts for the Ship.NET application. The Ship.Net application, a

distributed application, written entirely in .NET 1.1 (converted to version 3.5), utilizes WinForms in

the client, Web Services and Remoting in the business layer, and SQL Server 2005 as the data

repository. The development team implemented a dynamic reporting engine which dynamically

figures out at runtime what report(s) should run for the client’s order. Each order could generate

multiple reports, to include: the sales invoice, manufacturer incentives, advertisements, and mail-in

rebates. Initially all reports were developed in Crystal Reports IX, but later converted to Microsoft

SQL Server reports; due to inherent scalability issues with the Crystal reporting engine. An

additional key piece of functionality was the promotion of reports to the www.whereismyorder.com

web site; where the application, during the fulfillment process, made asynchronous one way calls to

the business layer to pre-generate the sales invoice(s) and mail-in rebates for each client order.

Specifically, my duties on this project were as lead reports developer, in that I was responsible for the

layout, design and development of all reports.

Information Systems Specialist March 1993 – December 2004

Inter-American Development Bank, Washington, DC

During my tenure at the Inter-American Development Bank, I was the lead report developer tasked

with writing all statistical and management level reports for the Human Resources Division. The

bank uses Arpeggio Report Designer and Crystal Reports (Business Objects) as their reporting tool

and Oracle as the data repository. Additional duties included working closely with the PeopleSoft

developers and assisting in writing test cases for new HR functionality; writing ad-hoc queries and

exporting to a wide variety of formats for management; managing content for the departments’

intranet site and providing training on ad-hoc report writing and key human resources internal

systems. Created numerous Applications in Access in order to facilitate HR Officers with their task.

Created the Bank’s 1st Staff Profile System based on 13 Access Tables and 7 Arpeggio Reports.
