Director of Business Development - 6/2007 to Present
Organize all technical and business aspects of the telecom IC and
consumer electronics products with strategic partners in Taiwan for new
product definition, development and launch, and in China for
manufacturing. Chair and administer periodical project review meeting to
ensure business plan is met. Coordinate design and manufacturer to ensure
timely prototype and sample delivery. Brought up Sales and FAE teams to
promote and support these products domestically and internationally.
Heavy travel required for business negotiation, customer visits and new
products launch.

GSM Product Line Manager - 7/2004 to 5/2007
Leaded and directed a group of 25+ internal (located in the US) and
contracted (located in Korea and Mainland China) software and hardware
engineers to successfully complete a mixed signal baseband chipset and a
reference design for a GSM cellular phone. I chaired a weekly project
preview meeting; which covered design progress, hardware and software
test development, prototype builds and sample delivery, sourcing and
preparation for production ramp-up. Analyzed product failure found at in-
house and returned by customer. I also provided sales strategy, product
information and technical training to worldwide Sales force and FAE
teams, signed business agreement with multiple cellular phone design
houses in China and India for business collaboration, negotiated
contracts with EMS in China and wafer foundry in Taiwan for production
ramp-up. Extensive use of Microsoft tools such as Project for multi-task
management and PowerPoint for presentation.
Sr. Product Manager - 9/2000 to 6/2004
Worked with the Tier 1 customers (HP and Apple) to gather their specific
product requirements (PRD). Interacted with corporate marketing group in
Taiwan headquarter to support the PRD and new product/IP definition,
interfaced with the US field sales and customers as the technical liaison
for all engineering programs, analyzed product failure returned by
customer (RMA) and coordinated cross functional engineering teams in
Taiwan to provide failure report (FAR) for root cause analysis to
formulate solutions and necessary changes.
