Programmer/Analyst - Interface Group
Implemented Demographic Bridges and Lab Results Interfaces
working with OMS/PMS and EMR vendors.
Provided connectivity for bridges and interfaces between
the clients/vendors servers and Spectrum's LIS system.
Connectivity methods included SFTP, VPN Tunnels and Mapped
drives (shared folders). Responsible for setting up of
Hypersend accounts, Scheduled Tasks and associated
scripting to move the files.
Worked with tables and scripting, using TCL programming,
within Quovadx (Cloverleaf) to process the and/or create
the HL7 messages for Inbound Demographic Bridge files
Supported bridges and interfaces when problems were
reported by clients.

Implemented the 834 HIPAA 2006 Open Enrollment for EyeMed
Vision Insurance Clients.
Utilized AS400 Unix System using LEECH Package to set up
and capture FTP files
Used extensively SQL Navigator (Oracle Data Base) to track
and proof testing of new HIPAA 834 files from clients
Worked directly with the clients and EyeMed Account
Managers to set up client profiles on the AS400 test
system, MERCATOR's Trading Partners package and check test
results

and movement into the production environment

Supported with the following HIPAA X12 transactions: 837,
835, UB92, HL7, 270, 271, 277 and 278.
Supported Trading Partners E-Commerce package. This
package was used to verify and prep data before and after
mapping.
Analyzed rejected files and formulated corrections.
Rejected HIPAA transaction files were analyzed using an
Internet HIPAA certification site and
both the implementation guide and carrier's guide to find
the error. Corrections were made so that the remittance
posting process could be completed.
Performed minor Data Mapping corrections using Mercator.
QA Analyst-Software
Supervised Quarterly Production Software Releases for new
systems and revisions to existing systems.
Selected critical path for the testing of the release
components as it related to the various systems within the
billing and remittance area.
Gained extensive knowledge of the company's billing system
and an understanding of changes that were being submitted
for testing.
Created testing scenarios and scheduling testing
environments for module testing and regression testing for
both Batch and CICS Systems.
Wrote test scenarios that ensured that both modified and
unmodified portions of the model worked correctly.
Responsible for generating test data to accomplish the
testing scenarios. Worked with MVS JCL, SAM files, VSAM
files and DB2 database tables.
Senior Programmer Analyst
Performed Analyses and Design for major HealthCare
systems.
Using SDLC techniques, developed and programmed medium to
large systems. The analyses included investigation and
justification for the project as well as the creation of
functional and detailed specifications. Programmed in
CICS, MVS COBOL (MicroFocus tools) using SAM files, VSAM
files and DB2 database tables. Also responsible for
extensive unit testing.
Developed the ABN (Medicare) data entry and record keeping
system.
Developed a system that would notify the Physician when
the ordered medical tests would not support the diagnosis
provided by the Physician.

Developed interfaces, which included the Functional and
Technical Specifications, for the purchased MRP II system
for Shop Floor Management and Inventory Control for the
Columbus, GA towel plant.
Performed the same functions for the Fieldale, VA towel
plant and also developed a forecasting system for use by
Production Control.
Automated several manual processes within the Production
Control Department.
Accomplishments Taught Computer Science courses for ten years at community
colleges in the North Carolina System.
