Initiated cost reductions in excess of $2.5MM per year. As Materials
Manager for Thermo Fisher Scientific's
Molecular and Microanalysis facility, I initiated cost reductions programs
in the first 36 months that will generate
over $10MM in annual savings.
Re-engineered the Supply Chain reducing costs by more than a third. As
Director of Purchasing and
Production Planning for OddzOn, I developed new sources for materials and
subcontracting resulting in cost
reductions of up to 35% while increasing on time receipts to 95%.
Inventory reduction. With Thermo, I reduced inventory by 20% in 4
months. As Materials Manager for
Hexcel, I increased inventory turns 400% and on-time shipments from 30% to
96%. Inventory levels at OddzOn decreased by 25% while on-time delivery
improved to 99.2%.
A strong background developing, negotiating and managing contracts - With
Hexcel, I developed and negotiated major contracts that yielded savings of
30% and assured material availability. With OddzOn, I negotiated contracts
that yielded savings of up to 35% and introduced KanBan. I negotiated
contracts with Axon, that yielded 24% savings and introduced pull systems,
affording 24-hour availability. I also negotiated contracts and supply
agreements for OEM products, VMI programs, exclusivity, supplier
partnerships, etc.
Lean Manufacturing and Supply Chain: With Thermo Fisher Lean Manufacturing
implementation yielded 30% improvement in space utilization, 20% cost
savings and 80% decrease in process time. Lean supply chain initiatives
with OddzOn and Axon Instruments provided 24% cost savings, 20% reduction
in inventory and 60% reduction in lead-time.
