As the ESI systems administrator I implemented and maintained a technical environment for the
development team and eventual deployment of the HAC ESI to the developers laptop environments. The
environments consisted of primarily Windows environment in support of the following software: Java/JEE,
Spring, Hibernate, Oracle, SQL, Weblogic (8.1 & 10.3.2 Windows 2000, Linux, Clear Case, Clear Quest,
Quartz, Maven, Spring-ws, JAX-WS.Axis 1.4, and iLog Jrules. I assisted in the integration of the new
technologies into the test desktops that were utilized as development and test servers to act as VIRTUAL
data center environment. I performed routine updates of systems and Share point software installations
as well as configure users to the CHAMPVA site. I applied operating system updates, patches, and
configuration changes, Installed and configured new hardware and software. Add, remove, or update user
account information, reset passwords, etc. Answer technical queries and deal with often frustrated users,
security, documenting the configuration of the system. Troubleshoot any reported problems. System
performance tuning. Ensured that the network infrastructure is up and running and wrote the CHAMPVA
ESI Configuration Management Plan. I have an understanding of the Waterfall and Agile methodologies. I
assisted with writing and reviewing test cases in MS Excel. Assisted with the migration of these test cases
into Rational Quality Manager. Reviewed the Master Test Plan. I also used the following tools: Rational
RequisitePro and Quality Manager.
