Web application developer
StatSpider - Currently designing and developing a fully-automated content
generation and delivery system (from scratch). Using a network of web
spiders, open source and free available data is pulled and used to populate
StatSpider databases. Advanced analytics are run on this data, charted, and
made available online with dynamically querying functionality. Daily updated
XML sitemaps are spawned daily to increase visibility to googlebot and other
search engine spiders.

TacticsEvolved - Designed and developed the framework for a browser-based 3D
tactical role-playing game (from scratch). Although the project has been put
on hiatus pending the arrival of WebGL standards, the existing framework
features an optimized variant of the A* pathing algorithm, animated movement,
and random map generation.

Interactive Content Manager
Designed and oversaw all data mining operations for one of the largest online
municipal bonds sites in the world. Included overseeing all branding
initiatives as well as coaching and appraising the sales team on upcoming
bond issues, relevant financial news, and serving as a resource for general
bond information. Provided online support to prospective bond investors and
brokers. Established and maintained relationships with over 300 of the
country's top bond issuers.
Data mining projects resulted in the most advanced bond analytics available
online.
Negotiated content-sharing agreements with the largest and most recognized
brands in the municipal bond industry including DerivActive, IPREO, MSRB,
Moody's, and Standard & Poor's.
Marketing initiatives resulted in dozens of successful leads including the
State of California, the nation's largest bond issuer.
2006 - 2008 CBS Interactive, GameSpot/SportsGamer
Sports Editor / Interactive Content Manager
Covered the launch and previewed the release of sports titles on behalf of
GameSpot, in addition to managing SportsGamer's online content. Responsible
for editorial direction and production, designing web applications, and
coordination of community events. Worked closely with the production,
community and ad sales teams for both the GameSpot and SportsGamer to
maximize content visibility and sponsorship opportunities. Organized and
hosted several live events on the SportsGamer website. Also co-hosted a
weekly sports/sports video game podcast and a monthly 30-minute online
broadcast.
Designed several of successful gaming-related applications including
"GameStats", which tracked game statistics from every online Madden game
played, and "March Madness Team Overview", which used EA's player ranking
system to dynamically compare any two college basketball teams.
During tenure, page views on SportsGamer increased 3-fold while and unique
visitors and average time spent increased 2-fold.

Co-hosted the Global Media Award-nominated show, The Lineup, averaging over
60,000 viewers per episode in its inaugural season. Also co-hosted From the

2004 - 2006 ALL IN Media
Business/Marketing Manager
Managed the business operations of ALL IN Media, a startup publishing company
publishing one of the world's leading poker magazines. Included overseeing
all facets of the magazine's promotion, distribution, fulfillment, and
customer service operations; managing the ad inventory, coordinating print
cycles, negotiating with vendors, and overseeing all administrative duties
including payroll as well as accounts payable and receivable. Responsible for
the solvency of the company.
In the two-year span, every issue of "ALL IN" was profitable, a rarity for
magazines in print for fewer than 5 years.
In the two-year span, per issue costs were reduced by over 20%.

2003 - 2004 Freelance
Application developer
California Closets - Designed and developed the financial reporting
infrastructure used by the aprox. 200 California Closets franchises worldwide
to report earnings to CC headquarters. The system extended the existing Excel
spreadsheet system adding methods for single-click batch uploading of
franchise data, the creation of several dynamic financial reports (each
including franchise-specific, regional, and aggregate metrics) and security
protocols appropriate for the data's sensitivity.

System was used by all California Closets franchises worldwide for 2 years.
Jivan Biologics - Designed and developed a data mining platform used for the
analysis the genetic sequences for a startup biotech research company. Large
open-source datasets was parsed and aggregated, with the resultant data made
available for viewing and dynamic querying via the company's website. Later,
functionality was added to export data into MS Excel for charting and data
manipulation.

Analysis based on this aggregated data led to a publication in a prominent
scientific journal.
