Dear Hiring Manager,
The last few years found me working in the web development area with
ColdFusion, SQL, client-side JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SEO, Google Adwords,
Analytics, optimizing, rounding and changing images in Photoshop,
designing, developing and backing up MS SQL 2005 databases all with an eye
on security. I was sole developer and webmaster and performed daily
updates of the content, products, and images of the Foster Wheeler website
and several Eprise (Content Management) intranet applications using
ColdFusion, JavaScript, and a bit of AJAX for Human Resources.
During my time at Foster Wheeler, I have been instrumental at helping to
raise the Page Rank of their website from a 2 to a 6 in 18 months. I have
also re-designed the look of their website within their parameters. I
gave it a more up-to-date look with better navigation, adding Flash created
by someone else with my size requirement and working more on their meta
tags. I managed all phases of the project from requirements to
implementation, including design, coding, image manipulation with
Photoshop, etc. I have hand coded their site using HTML, xHTML, CSS,
DHTML, some JavaScript and some ColdFusion, all with search engine

I have always been in jobs where I have had to multitask all while learning
new technologies on my own, mostly from home. I am highly motivated to
learn new technologies and create the best website I can. I am webmaster

FOSTER WHEELER (FW), Clinton, NJ 2005 - April 2010
Web Developer for Eprise intranet applications for HR department and
company website.
Redesigned FW website for a more updated look by adding Flash (pre-
created by a co-worker) and breadcrumbs, created a more up-to-date look,
fixed meta tagging, and simplified the code. Some pages are now
database-driven so only the database needs updating and not the code.
Developed a routine for emailing Foster Wheeler instead of displaying
the email on the screen. It is not implemented throughout the entire
site yet.
Raised Page Rank of Foster Wheeler website from 2 to 6 in less than 18
months.
Made recommendations and implemented closing up security holes on FW
website. Evaluated/ran AppScan security software. Implemented CAPTCHA
to enhance security.
Delivered HR applications on time enabling HR to report on the Census of ~
14,000 employees in real time. Savings realized by keeping the company
right-sized.
Translated an Excel spreadsheet which tracked the Population of employees
to ColdFusion Web code for the intranet which enabled all players to
update their portions at the same time. This resulted in time savings
for HR each quarter, and removed the risk of lost data (spreadsheets
were emailed).
Enabled users to view a webpage in Polish which helped result in SNC-
Lavalin Services pursuing FWC services. The multi-million dollar
contract was won. (It has not been put into the new website design yet,
therefore was removed from the site.)
Helped to maintain FW Eprise intranet site by adding news releases and
other content, adding roles, supported 7000 users. Maintained user ids,
removing ids as employees leave the company.
Was sole IT support for Ethics training software for 14,000 employees and
Sentinel software which automates the management and monitoring of an
organization's complete compliance program.
Evaluated MS Sharepoint software. Offered what we need to do to switch
from Eprise.
