EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVE AND FOREWARD
Candidate seeks SAS, SQL development, Senior Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Manager, or
Technical Lead position. My recent experiences included primary technical support for a DB2 Information
Security data mart surrounded by SAS programming. I also provided programming support for a RACF
administration tool utilizing REXX and CLIST development. For internal project initiatives, I estimated,
planned, hired, and led contract SAS programmers. Countless adhoc queries, web reports, and Excel
spreadsheets were produced in support of security audit and compliance. Strong mainframe technical and
analytical skills, seasoned with distributed development enables the employer to fill a demanding position.

EXPERIENCE
Bank of America – Addison, TX
August 1999 through August 2010
Information Security Analyst and Technical Lead (SAS, SQL, DB2, DBA, RACF, HTML, VB
Script, and Java Script)
• Authored a 70 page Business Requirements Document (BRD) and facilitated countless
Microsoft Office Live Meetings for a new, custom designed work flow application. This effort
involved managers and leaders from all over the continent. The BRD contained Visio diagrams
of business processes (swim lanes) as well as work-flow diagrams. Later in the project provided
user acceptance test script templates (Excel), education, and planning to ensure a quality
implementation. Developed countless queries in PC SAS / SQL during the development phase
to ensure data integrity. This project was implemented successfully in December of 2009 and
now is considered a best practice application. Daily SQL Server queries were executed and
reviewed for remediation of testing issues. Provided project oversight for this year-long effort.
• Identified mainframe RACF audit issue using data analysis via SQL and SAS. Provided
Excel spreadsheets containing data mining results, and Visio diagrams of the issue and
resolution. Facilitated Live Meetings with corporate headquarters audit staff throughout the
effort. Produced SAS and SQL programming development and support. The issue was closed
out 3 weeks ahead of schedule.
• SAS programming and DB2 Administration utilized for full life cycle development and
support of Information Security data mart. Compliance, audit, and ad-hoc support. Data Step,
Proc SQL, Macros, Proc Report, Proc Tabulate, Proc Transpose, Proc Freq and many SAS built-
in functions utilized for data cleansing, data mining, and joining security application access.
End-to-end support of data gathering, load to DB2, and data extraction / relationship builds.
• Full RACF unload/load to DB2 (IRRDBU00) along with REXX/CLIST/Panel RACF
administration tool developed and supported globally for security analysts world-wide.
Command line RACF administration applied for mainframe security controls.
• Supported and maintained various internal web applications utilizing HTML, Java Script,
VB/ASP and SQL Server
Credit Card Portfolio Acquisitions - Senior Programmer/ Analyst (SAS, COBOL, DB2, REXX, CLIST,
VB)
• Designed, programmed, tested, educated and installed critical SAS reporting application in
the division of credit card portfolio acquisitions. Utilized SAS macros, SAS Data Step, Proc Freq
and Proc Report. Replaced legacy DYL280 components.
• Developed CLIST, SKEL, and REXX components for internal team use, automated batch job
submission
• Full life cycle development of mainframe COBOL/CICS/ DB2 applications including credit
card portfolio acquisition, project billing and time entry, and promotional offers and credit card
production
Internal Business Solutions - Senior Programmer/ Analyst (SAS, COBOL, DB2, REXX, CLIST, VB)
• Technical Support for mainframe CICS/COBOL/VSAM project billing and time keeping
application
• Architected and coded a VB com component interfacing with a mainframe CICS transaction
• Prepared test plans, walk-thrus, and test data for Y2K Readiness Test
• Created personal REXX update utility
