OBJECTIVE: To expand and enrich my knowledge in the vocation of employment
that I find my dedication to. My goal is to assist co-workers and the
company they work for in achieving their vision of success.
QUALIFICATIONS: After graduating high school I have worked in the
construction trades doing, foundations, framing, electrical, roofing, and
drywall. I did this for a number of years until I took a job repairing
video equipment. From there I have worked for a variety of video facility
repairing, maintaining, and expanding their operation of business. Through
the years working full time for companies I have listed below, I maintained
my own small company and did a variety of freelance work from construction
to video maintenance. I freelanced for such companies as Del Hall Video,
Allied, Digital Realm and Trinity Christian College.
EDUCATION
1967 - 1970 Graduated Glenbard East High School
1974 - 1976 DeVry Institute of Electronics
1977 - 1978 DeVry course in Digital Electronics
EMPLOYMENT
1979-1983 Columbia Pictures Home Entertainment. I developed maintenance
procedures for duplication and quality control equipment. Assisted with the
other engineering personal in troubleshooting and repair of video and audio
equipment. I also assisted in the expansion of duplication equipment from
200 decks to 425 that greatly increased the output of product. I took on
the responsibility of putting security cameras in and around the perimeter
of the facility. With my construction background I also took care of
building maintenance and the equipment in it.
1983-1984 Optimus. Optimus was a multi-million dollar, high-end edit
facility. I had the privilege of maintaining the edit equipment and being
the engineer on site during edit sessions should a problem arise. I also
assisted in the expansion and up-grade of the edit suites and their related
equipment.
1984-1986 Video Dub. At Video Dub I was hired as the assistant chief
engineer. I took on the responsibly of maintaining a maintenance protocol
for the head-end equipment, duplication equipment, video and audio routers,
and expansion of the duplication machines. I believe I showed an effective
leadership, communication, and motivational and inspirational skill to
those employees whom I had the privilege of working with.
1986-Present Copymaster Video. I have had the privilege, honor,
excitement, and freedom to grow with this company since it was just a video
rental house with a small duplication facility in its basement. I was
instrumental in developing the expansion of Copymaster into a multi-million
dollar company that it is today. I designed and implemented the
construction of an edit suite, duplication racks for of over 200 VHS decks,
and an audio/video production studio. To utilize all three faucets
together, I designed and built a control center to tie them together. As
technology evolved to a more digital format, I designed and built systems
to duplicate, in mass quantities, CD's and DVD's. Networking the discs
replication systems to the disc printers, then graphics computer to the
edit suite saved time and effort on transferring large files between
computers.
With my construction background, I built offices; edit suites; a recording
studio and decks in the warehouse. Doing all the electrical, drywall, and
wall construction in house saved the company thousands of dollars from
having to contract outside sources to do this work.
Pleased with the attitude that the customer comes first I effectively
interacted with clients to generate repeat and referral business for
Copymaster. I would evaluate and edit clients projects when necessary so as
to produce a high quality package that was both satisfactory and functional
for there needs. By possessing a strong communication and organizational
skills I improved the company customer service relationship and help on-
time delivery of products.
