(National Board of Professional Teaching Standards) NBPTS the old system

was written in Forms and Oracle database. They were re-engineering their

Oracle Forms application to Java (JDeveloper). The business problem

for the bugs / issues identified by QA / product support team in the

Web Based (Java) front end module deployed at client site. Used

Tortoise subversion repository for the project.

A TRIM is a system dealing with shipping documents related to banks such as

Letter of Credit (LC): Imports LC and Export LC, shipping bills etc. It is

one of the important projects handling Trade Transaction of CITIBANK;

currently live in 55 countries in ASIA, North America and EMEA regions. The

system was designed according to J2EE specifications. Servlets were used as

a Front Controller gateway into the system. Helper classes were used to

limit the business logic in the Servlet. EJBs were used to talk to the

database (Oracle 9i) and JSP along with HTML, XML were used to control the

client view.

Responsibilities:

. Involved in development of web interface using JSP, Servlets,

JavaScript and JDBC. Various forms were designed to implement the

business logic as identified by the requirements.

. Created complex SQL and used JDBC connectivity to access the database.

. Created database objects like tables, indexes, synonyms, views,

Hence there was a requirement to maintain a new Database and application

for Korea transactions. The old database was live in the Asia region from

2002, and the historical data was to be moved to new Database.

Responsibilities:

. Developed PL/SQL packages, Oracle tables, views, stored procedures,

functions, triggers and UNIX shell scripts via TOAD. Used built in

functions of PL/SQL such as SQLCODE, SQLERRM for error reporting.

. Created database storage structures such as table spaces, rollback

segments etc. Importing and exporting data into the database with

Oracle utilities Imp, Exp.

. Involved in Tuning the Queries to improve the Performance using
