Dear Recruiter,
My name is Jim Holm, and I reside in Mount Dora, Florida. This letter is
to express my interest in the position of Market Development
Representative. Based on my skills in plant science, and agriculture, I am
confident that I would be a great addition to the company you represent.
Briefly, I have BS in biology from UCF and a MS in agriculture from UF. I
have worked in many aspects of agriculture since the age of 14 in 1985.
Much of my experience has been in the local ornamental plant industry in
Central Florida. I also have experience in turf and agronomic crops. I am
currently a supervisor with the Florida Department of Agriculture, Division
of Plant Industry.
One of my current interests is in protecting plant breeder's rights. I
have been focusing my spare time to qualify to take the United States
Patent and Trade office's 'examination for registration of patent agents
and attorneys. Perhaps this qualification may also find use in the
position for which I am applying.
My resume that follows highlights my ability, knowledge, and expertise in
agriculture and horticulture. During my current and previous employment, I
was able to succeed in customer service while focusing on profitable
objectives and providing efficient use of resources and time.
I am excited to learn more about the company you represent and be a
contributor to its success. Thank you in advance for your time. Please do
not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. I would appreciate
the opportunity to review my qualifications at any time in more detail if
you so desire.
Sincerely,
James R Holm
