QUALIFICATIONS

I began working with software and computer hardware over

twenty five years ago and started working with computer

networks over twenty years ago. My job duties in recent

years have provided a lot of experience working with Cisco

routers and switches, VMware ESXi and vSphere Servers, Linux

and FreeBSD servers and various Microsoft products. I am

always ready for a challenge and spend some of my spare time

working on enrichment projects. I'm positive that my strong

interest, experience and ability to learn quickly will make

November 2009 to Current. Information Technology Technician,

U.S. District Court Southern District of Alabama (Mobile,

AL.) (This job is a 10 month position and ends on 9/30/10)

- Manage Novell and Active Directories network. Setup and

manage VMWare ESXi and vSphere 4 servers.

- Responsible for desktop support, troubleshooting, and

repair on Win XP workstations that run typical business

applications such as Lotus Notes, MS Office, or Symantec

Antivirus.

- Preformed initial setup from images using Norton Ghost and

Acronis or manual OS installation

- Configured routers, switches and VOIP phones.

- Supported a mix of Windows XP, 2003, 2008 and Linux. Also

in charge of the Access Control system. Job required

Federal background check.

August 1999-March 2009 Network Administrator, Xant

Corporation (Mobile, AL.)

- Monitored remote access dial-up equipment and maintained

the local office Netware 5.0, Microsoft NT 4.0 and Windows

2003 servers. Administered all web servers, DNS, backup

and mail servers for the AL, CA, NY, GA, and Netherlands

portions of the network.

- Responsible for desktop support, troubleshooting, and

repair on Win XP workstations that ran typical business

applications such as Outlook2003, MS Office, or McAfee

Antivirus.

- Preformed initial setup from images using Norton Ghost or

manual OS installation

- Configured routers employing the use of access-lists and

dynamic routing protocols including BGP-4, OSPF, and RIP

v.2.

- Supported a mix of Win2000, 2003, 2008, Linux and AIX.

Built most of these machines from the ground up. Also in

charge of the Access Control system, Fire and Burglar Alarm

systems.

- Supported the applications running on these machines which

include Apache 1.3.22, Bind 9, Sendmail 8.12, Microsoft SQL

server, WSFTP, Veritas Backup Exec and Spamassassin.

- Provided on-call 24 /7 support, solely responsible for

accessing the affected device, troubleshooting and

resolving the issues.

- Worked on a number of projects which included setting up a

Windows 2003 domain server running Active Directories as

the PDC for the Customer Support Department.
