RSPT) as the gate keeper of all communication between the development and
retail communities. I joined the WW RSPT team as an Instructional Designer
(ID) but from day one assumed the responsibilities of a senior ID, process

Retail Systems Process Training team (WW RSPT), I was responsible for the
superior quality of communication, high level of tools adoption,
comprehensive training, and ongoing overall support of both the retail and

. I championed a use case driven training development process, and
streamlined Retail Systems' communications, improving its efficiency
dramatically. The templates I created have been adopted throughout
the division.
. I was instrumental in ensuring adoption of new technologies by the
business users.
. I also helped to win the support and cooperation of the developer
community by evangelizing the value of training and user-centric
communication style.
. I took on the missing usability advocate role and helped the team to
focus on end user experience in addition to functional content.
. I leveraged my information architecture background to drive the
redesign of team's SharePoint portal, introduced business-relevant
taxonomies, and have become the de facto steward of the training body
of knowledge.
Retail Systems have embarked on a multi-year comprehensive training
initiative, code-named retail basics, which is aimed to deliver a cohesive
fast-start training program for new hires as well as become the foundation
for continued professional development. I pioneered the task- and role-
oriented organization of training materials for this program, and now carry
the sole responsibility for the delivery of the first phase.
