Objective: As a communications expert, my goal is to work tirelessly to
make meaningful connections between people and the companies that serve
them. I'm fascinated by the intricacies of computer-mediated conversation,
and have a firm grasp of current digital media platforms and theory, while
keeping one eye on the future.
Work Experience:
Fall 2009-Present: Social Media Strategist for the University of Washington
School of Drama; help plan and organize promotional events for UW Drama
main-stage productions, and research digital media platforms and advise
superiors how to best utilize them to raise awareness about UW Drama.
Doubled initial # of Facebook "fans" within first five months of
employment, established @UWDrama on Twitter.com; identified and targeted
influencers on both networks.
Fall 2009: Community Manager for Serra Media; publicized hyper-local news
content for Bellingham, Kitsap, Kelowna, and Penticton communities in
Washington and British Columbia, and encouraged users to post and bring
more attention to those stories often overlooked by traditional media
Summer 2009: Writer at CWS Software; provided storyline and character
content for Novus Magic Amorus, a Dating-Sims game in development by CWS
Software. Gained experience with using Wikis for collaborative work,
researching the gaming industry, and had frequent communication with
software programmers and graphic artists
Summer 2008: Account Assistant at Verdin Marketing Ink, San Luis Obispo;
wrote press releases and collaborated with employees on the research,
development, and implementation of promotional materials for a variety of
San Luis Obispo County clients
Summer 2007-Winter 2007: Contributing columnist for Hubpages.com- Published
45 hubs on a variety of topics that have been read over 100,000 times by an
international audience.

the UW MCDM program. Authored articles on cross-cultural communication,
virtual game marketplaces, video-blogging, location-based services,
establishing credibility online, etc.
Spring 2010: Member of an Independent Study project to design a "Virtual
Research Commons" for UW Libraries. Investigated merits of various social
networking platforms, content-management systems, and the integration of
existing databases to facilitate connections between faculty, graduate
students, and local businesses
Spring 2009: Student designer and technical adviser of the "Perspectives of
Global Citizens" course for the Cal Poly Honors Program; determined how
online teaching aids such as BlackBoard could best be utilized by the class
