1. Muscat Vserver project (NetApp, Feb 2009 to August 2010): Vservers are NetApp’s virtualized storage infrastructure for Cloud
Computing. My work involved writing infrastructure code for Vserver functionalities such as Vserver start/stop infrastructure and
functionality code for consumption of APIs and CLIs for all Vserver features in Data Ontap 8.1.0 (to be released in 2011). I was
involved in formulating Requirement and Feature Specification, writing Functional Spec and Design Spec, and coding and unit
testing.
2. AutoSupport (NetApp, Jan 2007 till Jan 2009): When I joined in Jan 2007, I was the only developer working on NetApp's ASUP
feature on Data Ontap 7G filers (Kernel mode). After fixing over 100 bugs in the Ontap 6G and 7G code, I moved over to re writing
the ASUP framework for NetApp's Data Ontap 8G. The task involved splitting ASUP into a kernel and a FreeBSD user space
component. I wrote the Functional Spec, coded; Unit tested and fixed bugs for this work.
3. Device drivers for nVidia (Wipro Technologies Sep 2005 to Jan 2007): I designed, coded and unit tested device driver for Flash
Interface Unit (FIU) using Memory Technology Devices (MTD) Framework in Linux for nVidia. Besides FIU, I also designed, coded
and unit tested the following ARM peripheral drivers RTC, Timer PWM, i2c and GPIO driver. These drivers were written for Linux 2.4
and Linux 2.6 kernels.
Patents and Invention Reports:
Filed 1 patent, 2 patents are in legal drafting (phase 2 clearance), 3 other invention reports accepted in phase 1 for filing patents in
NetApp. The patents and Invention Reports were based on self initiated ideas and projects.
