ACHIEVEMENT HIGHLIGHTS
. Telephony - Gained expertise in several telephony technologies including
FXS, FXO, T1, E1, OC3 and DSL and used those technologies in the creation
of new products and services (Integrated Access Devices and MultiService
Access Platforms. Typically used by Internet Service Providers and Telco
companies). Authored backbone TDM (time division multiplexing) and
timing drivers for the DSLAM equipment. Fixed voice quality problems in
time for $3 million dollar shipment.
. Manufacturing - Collaborated with FCC and emissions experts to pass
emission tests costing $1,500/day and upward in minimal time period.
Developed hardware verification tests and maintained them.
. Simulation - Designed simulator box for customer so customer could
continue operation because OEM stopped producing product.
. Test and Measurement - Gained knowledge and proficiency in test and
measurement equipment including Air Data Test Sets, Thermo units, Torque
and Force, Tachometers, Pressure and Vacuum calibrators.
. Maintenance - Successfully re-architected company's flagship product
written in outdated X86 assembly code into mainstream C code, providing
better visibility, support and adoption of new features.
. Leadership - Handed over faulty code from another group and asked to
travel to high profile customer site to assess and fix problems. Result
- fixed code and saved company $$$ in penalty performance fees.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
King Nutronics - Woodland Hills, CA (2002-2009)
Contract, Senior S/W Engineer
Planned and coordinated multiple simultaneous projects to maximize
efficiency and productivity. Effectively analyzed internal processes to
define issues and provide expert recommendations to ensure optimal
performance.
. Re-engineered spaghetti assembly code into streamlined "C" code and
significantly reduced future maintenance costs. Towards that goal, the
following concepts, equipment and procedures had to be realized: 1)
The physics of altitude and airspeed. 2) The simulation of altitude
and airspeed using vacuum pumps and air tanks. 3) Transducers, servo
valves, AtoD,DtoA. 4) Standardization and Calibration techniques.
. Developed and implemented a new wireless remote controller to replace
tethered RS232 connection in record time for sales demonstrations.
. Developed Honeywell Air Data Test (ADT 222B) emulator using King
Nutronics 3719 Air Data Test and PC104 based protocol interpreter.
This allowed the end customer (Tinker AFB) to continue operation
without redesigning for new equipment (i.e., it saved end customer
Econtek, Woodland Hills, CA (Mar 2007- Jun 2007)
Contract Engineer
Brought onboard to write embedded software for Technologic TS5500 series
CPU boards (X86 based) running TS-Linux. Product to be installed at Library
of Congress.
. Initialization of hardware from configuration files. Auto configure
remote processors through PPP protocol. Poll for status, trigger
alarms.
. Stabilize PPP communications. Orderly synchronization of event
processing.
Accelerated Networks, Moorpark, CA (1998-2001)
Senior Member of Technical Staff
Applied extensive technical proficiencies toward delivering superior
troubleshooting and problem resolutions. Effectively utilized Vxworks OS
and Tornado debugger, fixed new product voice quality problems in time for
$ 3 million shipment (Technologies: SCSA, SPI, I2C). Planned and
coordinated workflow, defined requirements and assigned projects to
optimize utilization of human capital and operational resources.
. Contributed to the optimization of an Enhanced manufacturing test code
to detect 10-50% more board failures.
. Designed FXS,FXO, SCSA, TDM Timing drivers for CPE and DLSAM equipment
utilizing VoDSL and ATM transport.
ECI Telematics, Calabasas, CA (1994-1998)
Firmware Engineer III
Hired initially as a manufacturing test engineer, applied real time
techniques to production test for an increased error detection of 10-20%.
Afterward, promoted to engineering department where I worked on T1, E1
homologation testing and SCSA bus TDM switching. Lured away by Accelerated
Networks to develop similar SCSA, T1,E1, FXS drivers.
Career Note: Additional experience as Software Engineer for BE Aerospace,
firmware engineer/manager for CardKey Systems. See recommendations at
