performance.

> I was responsible for writing automation scripts which reduced the

testing time and also involved in setting up the test database.

QA Engineer at Geotouch.com, Palo Alto, CA Sep

2000 - March 2001

The application was a location based content and commerce services

utilizing a familiar map interface for the wired and wireless web. Its

unique technology platform integrates dynamic mapping platform with deep

comprehensive Web-based content. The service links the cyber world to the

physical world through its intelligent, interactive geographic search

engine that allows easy navigation for neighborhood and travel related

information. The integration of content rich information provides dynamic

content availability including yellow pages, driving directions, distance

measurements, accommodations, restaurants, and points of interest, traffic,

weather, shopping, and a growing number of other services in the United

States.

> My role involved testing this application from end-to-end

> My responsibilities involved writing test scripts using 4T Language of

Silk Test for all the used cases. These scripts were executed extensively

while performing regression testing. Using Silk test Client Server

technology test cases were executed to determine compatibility of the

product with different platforms.

> Performance of the product was evaluated using Silk Performer.

> My responsibilities involved documenting the data collected during the

various phases of testing and also generating the benchmark data for the

product. Load testing of the product was done by simulating 100s of

virtual users and executing the test script on the agent computers.

I was responsible for designing a Data Services for a client in Chennai.

Data Services comprises of collects, catalogues, manages, preserves, and

encourages re-use of digital resources of interest to researchers,

teachers, students and others working in the Technical arena. The Data

Service provides a framework for the preservation and supply of data

materials held in computer-readable form and information about such

resources. It involves establishing a collection of data from a wide range

of sources, providing access control to this collection. Developing

network tools to enable enhanced access to these collections.

This is a high performance client/server DBMS for web-interfaced

applications for speed access of information for clients. . Front end is

the web and oracle at the back end for the database. Maintain application

for the Internet using HTML and JavaScript's, SQL queries, Oracle 7.x. The

project also involves the design of web pages and customizations.
