Employment History
**** ** **** **** ****** Schools Knoxville TN. Safety Officer in charge of
investigating accidents and injuries to employees and students and making
recommendations to prevent reoccurrence. I was responsible for conducting
Safety Audits and following up with Principals to implement recommendations
to eliminate the safety hazards. School consisted of 55,000 students, 80
schools and other structures, 150 mechanics, 450 custodians, approximately
800 food service workers and approximately 5000 teachers, teacher
assistants and other employees.
2004 to 2005 Pinkerton Guard Services Oak Ridge TN served as an armed guard
at the Boeing plant in Oak Ridge TN.
2000 to 2004 American Safety Razor Knoxville TN. Production Supervisor in
charge of approximately 30 employees in the Perforation, Heat Treating and
Grinding areas and later assigned to supervise the Molding Assembly and
Shipping area. I was responsible for Production, Safety and Quality of
product.
1996 to 1999 The Oaks at Sweeten Creek Maintenance Arden NC Supervisor in
charge of approximately 10 employees in Maintenance, Housekeeping and
Laundry in a Retirement Community responsible for maintaining the
facilities for 120 residents and providing environmental services .
1995 to 1996 Ivy Hill Health and Retirement Brevard NC Supervisor in charge
of approximately 10 employees in Maintenance, Housekeeping and Laundry in a
Retirement Community responsible for maintaining the facilities for 120
residents and providing environmental services .
1969 to 1995 E.I. DuPont Parkersburg WV and Brevard NC Project Engineer in
the Teflon manufacturing area, Chief Draftsman in charge of approximately
28 draftsmen that provided design service to the plant. Maintenance
Supervisor in the Central Shops area responsible for six first line foreman
and approximately 100 mechanics and later as Area Maintenance
Superintendent of the Lucite and Color and Processing areas responsible for
7 day a week and 24 a day operation of manufacturing facilities. Later I
worked in the Safety Office as a Safety Engineer. In 1979 I was
transferred to the Brevard NC Medical X-ray film plant as a Maintenance
Supervisor in charge of foreman for the Finish area and the shift
organization which maintained the plant 7 days a week 24 hours a day.
Later I was assigned responsibility for the Materials Management Department
which included Purchasing and the plant store with 27,000 unique parts and
an inventory of approximately $4 million. Later I worked in the Safety and
Quality Assurance Departments.
1965 to1968 Union Carbide Oak Ridge Gaseous Diffusion Plant Oak Ridge TN
Co-Op student in the Engineering Design Office.
Education
University of Missouri at Rolla at Rolla MO BS in Chemical Engineering
graduated 1969 with a 3.00 GPA.
