LAN DESIGN and DEPLOYMENT: Designed single and multiple domain model

networks using the Windows Server Family along with Windows

9x/ME/2000/XP workstations. Designed and deployed a student-side

production network utilizing Windows Server 2003, Exchange 2003 and

SQL with Linux used for security. Have deployed the Windows Server

Family utilizing all roles (File/Print, Domain Controllers, DNS-DHCP-

WINS, Email-Collaboration-Messaging, Terminal Servers and Streaming

Media). Have created inter-connectivity with Linux networks by

deploying Samba and have also worked with Apache Web servers. Managed

and maintained various network components utilizing SNMP, Webmin, and

other management consoles. Conducted extensive training in the field

of Network and Directory Service design.

LAN ADMINISTRATION: Created logical naming conventions for users,

groups and domain structure with Windows Server and Novell NetWare

platforms. Configured DNS, IIS and Proxy Server 2 to establish an

Intranet with Internet access & firewall security. Implemented

Exchange Server to provide mail services to Intranet. Project also

included website design using HTML and PHP code with integration to a

MySQL database. Implemented Virtual Private Networks (VPN) using

various clients and operating systems (Hamachi/Server 2000 and

2003/Linksys VPN Routers/Linux). Responsible for Group Policy creation

for student-side network. Created documentation and change management

infrastructure for student-side network. Configured SharePoint

Services for an intranet/extranet of 100+ user base. Extensive

training skills in the overall field of Network Administration.

NETWORK SECURITY: Implemented network security structure using strong

passwords, permissions and policies. Enabled Event Logging and

Auditing Policies for System Security. Taught various seminars

involving End-User education regarding PC, email and general network

security. Have also trained on the subject of Wireless Security with

the appropriate hands-on curriculum. Have configured and maintained

several Linux-based IPCop firewalls for many different network

environments. Have utilized Web Server-Side security technologies for

eCommerce-based websites involving shopping carts and credit card

transactions. Have set up and managed Windows Server 2000/2003

certificate servers acting as PKI authorization components.
