06/08-Present Information Technology Director
As IT Director I am responsible for managing all of BNP Media's
IT operations. This includes infrastructure, application
development, project work, Internet and web development, and
user workstation support. Primary responsibilities include:
. Manage the Application Development, Infrastructure, Desktop
Support, and Web teams and their members (approx. 30
employees)
. Work with and the CEO to ensure the current IT direction
aligns with overall corporate initiatives
. Determine overall IT budget of approximately $5MM per year
. Constantly seek ways for IT to save BNP Media money by
streamlining business processes and optimizing existing IT
systems
. Identify areas of the business which could be improved with
IT solutions and bring these solutions to fruition

service levels are being met

06/07-06/08 Information Systems Manager
As Infrastructure Manager I was responsible for all aspects of
BNP Media's IT infrastructure including network, IP phone
systems, office badge access systems, and approximately 100
servers (Linux, OS X, and Windows) located in BNP Media's
headquarters and 7 satellite offices. Primary responsibilities
included:
. Management of 5 support personnel comprised of a project
manager, database administrator, network administrator, and
2 system administrators

including JBoss, Oracle, SQL Server, Ruby/Rails, Khameleon,
HR Vantage, and several others

01/04-06/07 Client: The Dow Chemical Company, Southfield MI
As an Accenture consultant, I served two roles on the E-Commerce
Tech Management team, Technical Specialist from 01/04 to 12/06
and Team Leader from 01/07 to 06/07. In both roles, I was a key
team member and leader in completing application development and
support projects for the Dow Chemical/Accenture Alliance. This
alliance has helped position Dow's IT department as the best in
the chemical industry.
Technical Specialist responsibilities included:
. Support of Dow's e-commerce environment based on Windows
2000 and a clustered Oracle 10g solution which housed their
online sales tool called MyAccount@Dow and their public web
site Dow.com
. Support of Dow's internal web environment (Intranet) based
on Windows 2003 and served over 1000 web sites and
applications
. Support of Dow's document management system (Documentum)
based on Windows NT
. Support of Dow's R&D project management tools called

04/03-12/03 Client: Mercedes Benz USA, Montvale NJ
As an Accenture Consultant, I served as a technical analyst to
implement SAP R/3 and I2 planning software at Mercedes. This was
a $8MM project. The implementation would allow them to manage
and stock their 6 U.S. part distribution centers (PDC's) more
efficiently. I was driving the forecasting and planning portion
of the I2 implementation which would allow Mercedes to utilize a
JIT solution for auto supply parts inventory management. Main
job functions involved creating designs for SAP/I2 interfaces
and support of their Solaris and Oracle environments. Other
responsibilities included development of batch jobs to move data
between I2 and SAP databases, and development of an SAP
interface for Cognos Reporting software. This project was
completed on time and under budget resulting in a celebration
and recognition event for our work team in Las Vegas.
01/03-04/03 Client: Meijer, Grand Rapids MI
As an Accenture Consultant, I served as a marketing analyst for
Meijer Corporation, a grocery and general goods retailer in the
mid-west, whose major competitors are Wal-Mart and K-Mart. I
performed marketing research to increase sales by repositioning
merchandise in their checkout lanes and general aisle area. Main
job functions were examining and compiling data related to item
sales and the item locations within the store at the time of
sale.
09/02-12/02 Client: The Dow Chemical Company, Midland MI
As an Accenture Consultant, I served as a technical analyst for
The Dow Chemical Company developed an application called the
Batch Delivery Vehicle. This application provides logging
functionality and database connectivity for over 1000 batch jobs
throughout the company. This assignment centered on upgrading
this application to use ADO instead of ODBC for database
connectivity. My job was to make the updates to the C/C++ code,
test, and implement the upgraded application in the production
environment.
Kelly Technical Services, Troy MI
01/00-09/00 Computer Modeling and Information Sciences, Dow Chemical Co.,
Midland MI
As a support team member, I installed and maintained client
workstations running MS Windows (3.X/95/98/NT3.5/NT4.0/2000),
Unix (IRIX), and various flavors of Linux. I maintained and
installed workstations that were primarily used to control and
monitor laboratory equipment. I also supplied support for
workstation peripherals; including legacy devices associated
with laboratory equipment, such as specialized PC cards. While
providing general PC support to Dow's Scientists, I supplied the
most recent software and hardware updates. I also acted as a
consultant to many Scientists regarding which software/OS
configuration would most benefit their research. This function
included configuring workstations to operate under both Red Hat
Linux and Windows operating systems.
05/99-01/00 Network Security: NT Administration, Dow Chemical Co., Midland
MI
I was a member of the NT (MS Windows - New Technology) Security
Administration team. Our team provided security services to all
global Dow sites including locations in North America, Europe,
Africa, South America, Asia, and Australia. Our team also
provided NT account and Exchange Mail account assistance for
users when the contracted Compaq support team did not have the
knowledge or proper account access. I also created and
maintained NT and Exchange Mail accounts. Maintenance of NT
accounts included creating new shared network file systems and
granting/revoking the access of specific users to these file
systems.
01/99-05/99 Workstation Installer, Dow Chemical Co., Midland MI
I worked on an installation team to upgrade Dow employee IBM
workstations. The team consisted of over 40 individuals divided
into small groups with a team lead. Our main purpose was to
upload all employee data from the old workstation onto a network
server, install the new workstation, download and restore all of
the data from the old workstation. During this project, I
personally installed and configured over 500 workstations. I
traveled to multiple Dow sites within the U.S. including: Long
Beach, Torrence, and Pittsburg, CA; Nashua, NH; Allyns Point,
CT; Dalton, GA; Dayton and Findlay, OH; Southfield and Midland,
MI. At the conclusion of the project, I was one of only three
employees retained by Kelly Technical Services to remain at Dow
and fill other positions.

05/96-08/96 Radiation Control Technician, Radian International, Austin TX
Working in Bay City, Michigan, I assisted in locating and
removing radioactive pollutants in a confined area. This
remediation project consisted of removing Thorium slag deposits
that were produced during World War II. I located and mapped
pollutants by using GPS and a Geiger-Mueller detector. I also
monitored air filters designed to detect any radiation that may
leave the containment area through air-born means. My activities
also included sampling soil on vehicles that were leaving the
containment area to insure that the vehicles were carrying no
contaminants. I also routinely took dust samples from several
specific laboratory/work areas to insure that no radioactive
substances had been carried over into the non-contaminated, or
"clean" area.
