advised the I raq Ministry of Defense the senior staff levels of: M-1 Personnel, M-2
I n telligence, M-3 Operations, M-4 Logistics and Contracts, M-5 Strategic Planning, M-6
Communications, M-7 Training and M-8 Budget; to stand up and modernize the I raqi
A rmy of 277,000. I was principally assigned to the area of Budget & Planning working
w ith British and American Advisors in the Directorate General of Budget and
P rogramming and to the sub directorates of Salary, Budgets, Foreign Mili tary
Sales(FMS), In ternal Auditing . I worked for five different Advisors at the Directorate
and Sub-Directorate level. Translation and interpretation work was principally on the
development of the I raqi MOD $5 billion budget for 2010 and execution of the $5 Billion
budget for 2009. This position required interaction with Ministers of the I raqi
Government and General Grade Officers in the I raqi Mili tary. I provided "continuous"
t ranslation in meetings and formal wri t ten t ranslation of official documents and
memorandums. This was at the "secret" level of work for the US M ili tary and the
