Coupled drive train and developed special motor applications for uses such

as dredging and marine propulsion. Designed and modified parts for use with

1500HP AC synchronous electric motors on a marine thruster propulsion

system totaling 12,800 HP. Worked with the electric motors compliance under

DNV normative.

. Calculated parameters such as rotational stiffness, static and dynamic

force analysis, bearing life, reactions on gear boxes of top drives,

complex multi-axial stress analysis in fatigue of motor-thruster bolt

circles.

. Developed a torsional model of the power train for each thruster (3

models) to study fundamental vibrational frequencies.
