. Monitoring and issuing 180 letters via "smart track" in the ops portal
to brokers who have an open borrow with UBS.
. Issuing tender proceeds and exchanges to client accounts in UBS
internal system ADP.

to other departments such as mandatory's and dividend department.
. Responsible for balancing section's G/L cash account, and balancing

Fixed Income Syndicate Desk - Assistant Vice President
. Worked directly with developers, systems, middle & back office support
in 2008 in establishing a new web based trading system for the Smith
Barney platform called WEB SMS where all retail branch office can
enter orders for new pfd deals and weekly MTN notes. Tested, and
reviewed the system in the UAT environment by setting up "fake" deals,
cusips, trades, etc to see if system performed correctly until in live
production.
. In 2009, worked for, and as part of the Project Dev Team to complete
FINRA guidelines to get new issue cusips (all details), and "block"
allocations, except ABS, to Finra (trace) on a T+1. Diligently worked
thru the entire trade process from new issue pricing, to sending
trades to the live trading system based on a desk code, to matching
trades with the sales force from T+1 of pricing date to make sure
everything gets reported to Trace to avoid penalties.
. Currently assisting in working with I-Deal support in transitioning
over to a new version of I-Deal called "Issuenet" where others broker-
dealers can view the IOI order book, and avoid having duplicates, and
incorrect orders in the book which happens frequently. Also helping
to develop with IT more user friendly pages for viewing thru testing,
and weekly conference calls to discuss changes and updates.
. Daily tasks also include supporting 15 traders, who cover TALF
issuance, High Yield, Short Term MTN, Financial, Industrial,
Preferred, Asset Backed, and Emerging Markets debt in a wide variety
of functions for each of them.
. Running yield and spread analysis to determine prices on bonds, hedge
ratios, and to keep a daily spreadsheet of inventory positions held by
desk.
. Running hedge ratios for customers who want to hedge a new issue
coming to the primary market.
. In using I-DEAL, I process all new issued debt, price new syndicate
issues, pay EV to sales force, help tie out books between broker
dealers, set up new issues, and input gross fees, and economics, and
calculation P&L for each deal.
. Help in ensuring all new issues have settled with primary investors by
working with DTC operations, international settlements, and sales
force. Any discrepancies must be resolved immediately.
. Coordinate with syndicate's accounting group to make sure they record
our daily P&L for our desk, answering any technical deal questions
relating to revenue, and follow up to make sure deal is closed out
correctly after 90 days.
Canadian & Domestic Voluntary and Mandatory Corporate Actions
September 2003- February 2007
Senior Specialist
. Implemented and tested a new Canadian & Domestic information platform
in order to better service our internal trading desks, institutional
clients, international prime brokerage clients, and domestic prime
broker clients. This system eventually replaced the manual process of
gathering the Corporate Action information.
. Worked with project management, and delegated with two co-workers
during this process to establish a new mainframe for corporate actions
called (CAIRO) for all upcoming Canadian offerings, which included;
dividend payments, pay downs, redemptions, drips, dividend payments,
and mandatory and voluntary exchanges.
. Primarily responsible for announcing and processing all voluntary and
mandatory Canadian Corporate Actions. Daily functions include handling
dividend payments, notification to the tax department of any problems
regarding withholdings from clients' accounts, processing cash
tenders, tenders with consent, voluntary exchanges, rights offerings,
warrant expirations, puts, calls, redemptions and mergers.
. Ensure voluntary & mandatory announcement notifications are
transmitted to our Canadian & Domestic clients, and internal traders
on a timely basis. Worked closely with settlement areas in ensuing all
corporate actions settled in procedure with local CDS and DTC.
. Monitor short accounts and fails for liability and 180 letter
issuance.
. Responsible for balancing section's G/L cash account and balancing
