Master's Thesis: Development of Control System to optimize the efficiency
of Wind Turbine.
Research is aimed at designing adaptive control system and developing
control algorithm for a variable speed wind turbine to increase
aerodynamic efficiency and energy capture. MATLAB and Simulink
simulation environment is being used for this work.

Research project titled "Real-Time Power Electronics Simulation." The major
use of this system is in the field of Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV)
design, a major initiative being pursued by the US Navy.
o Interfaced FPGA-DSP based controller board with DC & AC drives for
high speed multi-rate and distributed simulation.
o Conducted motor model analysis and improved motor performance.

o Tested and commissioned six units of synchronous generator each of
170MW with 10% overload capability and transformed it as the nation's
highest source of revenue.
o Designed electrical control system, emergency backup power supply,
HT/LT system, illumination, and strengthened the reliability of the
machines.
o Computed protection and monitoring system for the dam, HRT and radial
gates and maintained the water level within permissible limit.
o Minimized generation outage by troubleshooting challenging technical
problems in short span of time on valves, motors, governor system,
switchgear, auto sequence control & HMI.

and finalizations of the electromechanical package and contributed in
successful commissioning of the Project.
