organized the office to facilitate document retention standards.
Assistant Store Manager of Hardlines

Responsible for Maintaining both the presentation standards and logistics for
various hardlines goods: storage, kitchen storage, cookware, dinnerware,

Merchandise Manager (Bath Department)
February 2003- January 2005
Responsibilities included supervising, training and development of new associates
for the bath department, for merchandising, replenishment, recovery,
housekeeping, and setting merchandise and signs for advertisements. As
merchandise manager I was also responsible for following up on all price changes
and inventory adjustments, assisting with the inventory preparation in the bath
department as well as other departments, participating in the receiving and
processing of new merchandise, preparing merchandise for shipment, and
assisting customers on the sales floor and registers.

Interacted with vendor and buyer in the implementation of product display while
working within the confines of predetermined space allocation for the display of
products then transferred details of product display into schematics and detail
reports for distribution to stores utilizing software programs such as AC Nielsen’s
Spaceman software for retail plan-o-grams, Adobe Photoshop 7.0, Microsoft
Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access and Outlook. As a visual merchandiser I also
conducted presentation standards training programs in the field.

Conducted orientation, training, and development of new hires, supervised the
timely flow of basic and seasonal merchandise to the sales floor, ensured the
accurate set up of ad programs and promotional items, managed efficient front-
end operation and provided supervision of stockroom organization, monitored
safety policy and procedures, and promoted high recovery and merchandise
presentation standards.

Supervised a crew in the setup of new fixtures and displays of merchandise in
new and remodel stores, conducted training seminars for new hires and current
employees in the execution of customer service and merchandise presentation
