Wireless Telecommunications Test Technician

Intertek Testing Services

December 2008 - present

. I test wireless telecommunications devices such as cell phones and

data devices to customer desired and FCC specifications. This is pre-

certification testing that occurs before the device is made available

for sale.

. I conduct Verizon Safe for Network testing. This includes Parametrics

testing and Features testing.

. I conduct Verizon Open Development Initiative (ODI) testing.

. Testing includes setting up a simulated wireless network in order to

mimic a live network, and to test wireless devices operability on the

network. The equipment used to do this includes Spirent, CTIA, and

Verizon licensed software. I use multiple CDMA and EVDO network

emulators in order to assess the performance of the device under test.

I also use Spectrum Analyzers and Agilent Wireless Communications test

set.

. Tests that I run include Over the Air Service Provisioning (OTASP),

Over the Air Parameters Administration (OTAPA), Mobile IP, System

Determination, Location Determination (GPS), Signaling Conformance,

MEID, E911, Roam Indicator (ERI), and many more.

. I update all databases during testing using mainly MS Excel. I

communicate with customers and give regular updates on the status of

testing through phone conversation and e-mail.

Developmental Engineering-Lab Technician Senior

February 2008 - December 2008

. I do photo exposure (positive and negative) and development of semi-

conductor wafers used in the manufacturing of ink-jet cartridges.

. I plasma etch wafers (C4F8, SF6) and oxygen etch (DRIE, RIE)

. Metrology of wafers that have been processed and ready for delivery.

. I wet clean silicon wafers using multiple high-strength industrial

solvents.

. I am responsible for updating MS Excel spreadsheet in order to track

our work-in-progress

. I oversee and run processing experimentation for Engineers in Charge

and help develop new and better processes.

. I schedule work for fellow lab techs and coordinate equipment use time

. Observe all protocol and procedures for working in an ISO 6 (1K)

cleanroom.

. I perform preventative and corrective maintenance on secure external

telecommunications equipment (Crypto) used by the Combat Systems

Department (CS-9)

. I troubleshoot electronics equipment used in communications to board

level, and have the ability to troubleshoot to component level.

. I am responsible for performing preventative maintenance on damage

control equipment specific to Combat Systems. This equipment includes

fire extinguishers, fire hoses, battle lanterns, emergency lights,

illumination strips, and any other tasks the Damage Control Officer

Skills I have a very technical background and have learned to use many

industry specific pieces of equipment. I have used multi-meters,

oscilloscope, and signal generators to assist in troubleshooting equipment

and products. I can troubleshoot to component level. I am a proficient

computer user, with experience using MS Excel, Access, and all Office

programs. I can create databases to be stored and viewed on network drives.

I have the ability to process and organize data in an efficient manner. I

have managed others, set scheduling, and dealt with employee interpersonal

conflicts. I have the ability to learn and understand new concepts with
