Export Documentation Specialist
Primary responsibilities are to insure that all U.S. requirements are
met for exportation of cotton; all foreign requirements are met
for import; and all banking requirements are met for timely payment.
In 1997, less than 40% of the company's business was export
related. During the most recent fiscal years, more than 75% was
export related. Other duties also include keeping agents/buyers
advised of status of all shipments; negotiating banking rates and
obtaining secured bank-to-bank financing for the buyers; and
researching any claims for weight loss and quality differences.
Established, developed, and have maintained key banking, freight
forwarding, and inspection services relationships.
Became a Certified Documentary Credit Specialist in 2004 and updated
the certification in 2007. Have taught UCP-500 and UCP-600 banking
regulations to members of the company, as well as many outside of the
company. Have participated in several panel discussions and teaching
seminars with bankers, importers, and exporters.

accounts for physician and medical center facilities. Duties included
reconciling all deposits and transferring funds to corporate accounts

coordinator for successful single physician managed practice. Strong
emphasis on customer service and satisfaction, and final resolution of
billing disputes with insurers and patients, acting as an advocate
many times on behalf of patients. Achieved very high ratings for
accuracy and reimbursement through primary insurers and Medicare.
Familiar with ICD-9 and CPT coding terminology and systems. Started
taking classes to become a Certified Professional Coder. Left the
company to move to Montgomery, Alabama.

Contract Control Coordinator
Started as temporary employee in Accounting, promoted through various
positions in logistics and invoicing before being assigned to Contract
Control. Achieved proficiency in all phases of export
documentation, including financing, international Letters of Credit,
and working with steamship lines, inspection services, and ground
transportation providers to insure delivery within specified time
frames. Left the company to move to Nashville, Tennessee.
