Worked as a developer for a I-recruitment software.

Extensively used the J2EE Web Development framework to build this app. This

involved detailed usage of the Model View Controller architecture. The

database layer was MySql. We use the Mysql JDBC API's to establish

connection between the database and the Application. The business logic for

the application is written using Java Beans and Enterprise Java Beans

(EJB's). The UI of the Application is written using JSP Pages and

Servelets. We use ANT to build our code and deploy the app on the Apache

Tomcat server.

Team: DB2 XML FVT (Functional Verification Testing)

Projects: DPF, XML Range Partitioning and XDA Compression for the DB2

COBRA.

Developed test cases, coded in Perl and included XML functions like XQUERY,

Redistributing XML Tables, tablespaces, XML Indexes (Both local and global

indexes), SQLXML, XML Schemas and DTD's, XML Compression, Run Statistics

and many more. Also, implemented crash recovery, forced crashes, The test

cases were written for seria, DPF, and XML Range partitioning modes.

Was the owner of a test bucket/suite, Investigated and fixed any test case

failure in the bucket and ran the test cases in acceptance, regression

modes nightly.

Did regression testing for the test buckets and ran nightly tests on the

bucket.

Team: DB2-CE (Continuing Engineering)

Handled defects either reported internally or by a customer on the DB2 V95

and COBRA projects.

Work included creating, canceling, closing etc defects, reproducing the

defects, running the test buckets, and debugging using the Total View

debugger.

The defects spanned various versions of the DB2 database.

Reproduce defects reported by customers or internal members of the

organization.

Work with developers to solve code related issues.

Opened new High/Med/low priority defects when any problem was encountered.
