October 2002 to February 2008- United States Navy
Weapons Elevator Technician
In 2005 I contributed to the completion of over 1169 scheduled and
unscheduled maintenance repairs of 10 weapons elevators and 26-4.5K EE
reach forklifts, resulting in a 98% availability rate.
Contributed countless hours in preservation and maintenance of 10 weapons
elevators and 9 machinery rooms in preparation for INSERV. My diligent
efforts greatly contributed to weapons department scoring an overall grade
of 86%. Setting the standard for future INSERV inspections on NIMITZ class
vessels.
While preforming preventive maintenance I found two ruptured hydraulic
flexible hoses. I took two of the spare hoses that we had in storage and
replaced them.
Weapons Elevator Troubleshooter
Work with Elevator Support Unit (ESU) in repairing Lower Stage 1 Weapons
Elevator's in-trunk water tight hatch, retuning the system to 100%
availability with minimal down time, saving the Navy over $1500 in
contractor costs.
Trained ESU and shop personnel in troubleshooting and the installation of
guide rollers on Lower Stage 3 Weapons Elevator, saving the command over
command $50,000 in contractor costs.
Supervised and ran corrective and preventive maintenance crews of 3-5
maintenance technicians.
Manage the elevator licensing program for the USS Carl Vinson.
Assisted the USS George H. W. Bush (CVN-77) and the USS Dwight D.
Eisenhower (CVN-69) in establishing their Weapons Elevator Licensing
Program.
Personally trained and qualified 77 department personal with a 80% pass-
rate in all weapons elevator qualifications
Hand selected due to technical knowledge to assist in design phase of
NAVSEA'S LHA-7 program. This program will design new weapons elevators that
will significantly enhance fleetwide operational readiness and productivity
of the LHA-7 platforms.
Spearheaded the re-writing of several instructions to include Weapons
Elevator Program 8412.15 and Standard Operating Procedures WE-15, WE-16,
and WE-18 to maintain proficiency of Weapons Department personal during
demanding ROCH.
Assistant Work Center Supervisor
I assisted the work center supervisor in checking the weekly boards for
scheduled maintenance that could be preformed on the elevators in the
shipyard in Newport News Virgina.
I summited the RAR's that listed the maintenance that was preformed the
previous week. To the division officer and weapons department 3-M
assistant.
I took the Formal Work Packages (FWP) and wrote them up as Work
Authorization Forms (WAF). So that corrective and preventive maintenance
can be preformed that needed red tags for any tag-outs.

Worked at Walmart as a sales associate. My responsibilities included
stocking shelves, helping customers, unloading trucks, and cashiering.
July 2010 to September 2010
Installer and Trainer
I built 200 user friendly lottery machines for Intralot. Preformed and
installed a system hardware test on each lottery machine. I also installed
the lottery operating software that was approved by the state lottery on
each machine.
I troubleshot software and hardware issues one the lottery machine with
help from software engineers and assistant project supervisor.
I delivered, installed, set the lottery machines up to the network
connections, and trained the retailer on how to use the lottery machine.
