Outpatient

Hospital Pharmacy which processed more than 2,000 new prescriptions
per day.

. Ordering and receiving of supplies, tracking expiration dates, and
performing return of outdates.
. Managed vault operations to include the ordering, issue, and inventory
of Schedule II, III, and IV narcotics and controlled medications with
a zero error rate.
Administrative
. Created and managed monthly technician schedules for a major medical
center ensuring adequate staffing for a 24 hour a day pharmacy with
several satellite pharmacies.
. Managed training for 110 technicians and pharmacists, including
licenses, HIPPA, CPR, continuing education, and required military
training. Created and maintained training files for each person.
. Supervised 83 military and civilian technicians in daily operations of
the pharmacy department, which included 2 outpatient sites, inpatient,
and 3 on-site ICU, Neonatal ICU, and TPN/Chemo satellites.

problems, and assisting Pharmacist Supervisor in maintaining an
orderly and efficiently run pharmacy.

Inpatient
. Compounded sterile intravenous admixtures (IV's) including PCA's,
drips, epidurals, and neonatal concentrations.

basic troubleshooting.

medication compatibility, dosage, and inappropriate usage.
