Regional Underwriting Manager responsible for the supervision, evaluation,
professional development, training and coaching of an underwriting team
consisting of 10 senior underwriters including developing and implementing
team's annual budget and underwriter production goals. The accounts typically
handled range in premium from $25,000 - $500,000. The team's 2009 year-end
gross written premium was $12mm with a 47% accident year loss ratio and 92%
retention. Charged with setting and executing operational objectives and plans

underwriting team consisting of two senior and 2 underwriters, an associate
underwriter and two raters including directing workflow, conducting team
meetings, communicating information about assigned agencies to the team,
development of team members based on needs and recommending improvements in team
processes. Over 4 years, my team successfully wrote $25mm in new business while
