Description: Meant for short term travelers interested in Cusco s and

Sacred Valley s main attractions. Our 5 Day Cultural Journey to the Land of

the Incas brings you directly into the Sacred Valley to ensure proper

acclimatization to altitude. You will visit P saq, Chinchero, Moray, Maras

and Ollantaytambo archaeological sites, all of them located at the Sacred

Valley; spend one night, sunrise and a full day at Machu Picchu citadel,

and enough time for the city s main attractions. Short and advantageous

Itinerary at a Glance:

DAY 1: Arrival in Cusco. Visit P saq. Sacred Valley. DAY 2: Full day

Sacred Valley Tour: Chinchero, Moray, Maras salt mines, Ollantaytambo.

Late train to Machu Picchu. DAY 3: Full day Machu Picchu. Train back.

Cusco. DAY 4: Full day Cusco: 4 Ruin Circuit + City Tour DAY 5: Transfer to

the airport.

only applicable if you are traveling solo and / or have a room to yourself.

Full Itinerary:

For those requiring Lima hotel, airport transfers and internal flight

services within Peru, please contact us for best options and availability.

DAY 1: Morning arrival in Cusco airport. Our tour conductor and transport

will wait for you and drive you into the Sacred Valley of the Incas. On the

way, stop and visit a camelid park and continue to P saq for lunch. Visit

the market and / or ruins. Transfer to the hotel.

DAY 2: After breakfast, the transport will take you to Chinchero community

where you will appreciate an Inca administrative center and have contact

with traditional weavers and musicians. We will continue our visit to Moray

Inca experimental agricultural center built in 3 spaces of concentric

terraces. Following to the traditional and past time wealthy town of Maras,

to enjoy our delicious picnic lunch settled overseeing the beautiful

immensity of the Vilcanota Mountain stream or Cordillera. After lunch and

relaxing with a good cup of locally grown coffee, we will descend into the

salt mines and have a short visit. On the way to Ollantaytambo we might

stop at a ceramist to shop a bit. Visit Ollantaytambo ruins and well

preserved Inca town. Take train to Machu Picchu (1 hour and a half).

Arrival in the hotel. Overnight.

DAY 3: Sunrise will wake us up and lead us to an enjoyable breakfast.

Ascent to Machu Picchu citadel. You have the option to hike Huayna Picchu

or just visit the main citadel. We will follow a 2 hour approximate tour of

Machu Picchu. Descent to Aguas Calientes. Lunch and take train to

Ollantaytambo station, were the transport will wait for us and take us to

Cusco (1 hour and a half).

DAY 4: After breakfast we will take our transport to the four ruins close

to city center (Tambomachay, Puca Pucar , Qenqo and Sacsayhuam n). We will

enjoy lunch at the Bohemian area of San Blas. Then follow a city tour,

visiting the main attractions: The Cathedral, Temple of the Sun, bohemian

San Blas area and the main roads. Kusikay Theatre.

DAY 5: At the right time, transfer to the airport. We recommend after lunch

flights in order to enjoy a free morning and because international flights

from Lima are at night so you do not need to arrive in Lima too early.
