PRL is a hydro skimming refinery to process 2.1 million tons of crude oil annually into a variety of distilled

petroleum products with increased efficiency, lower operating cost, high quality human resources, reliability and

introduction of newer generation technologies.

Inspection Engineer, Inspection Department:

Mechanical Engineer at Inspection Department responsible for execution and monitoring of NDTs especially related

to plant piping, Heat Exchangers and other stationary equipment; to ensure mechanical integrity. Along-with

conducting in-service inspection plans for cross country lines as well reporting of weekly & monthly activities.

• QA/QC ensuring for Furnaces, Columns & Steel storage tank fabrication from engineering drawings

especially Turn-around maintenance.

• Knowledge and application of codes and standards especially ASME B-31, B-16, Boiler & Pressure Vessel

code (Sections I till IX); ASTM standards related to materials; API – 570, 571, 650, 653, 1104, TEMA,

NACE RP0170-97, NBIC etc.

• Technical evaluation of WPS, engineering drawings, ITPs & materials.

• Performance and knowledge of major Non Destructive Tests.

• Application of Microsoft® office enterprise e.g. development and working on advanced excel sheets for

calculating tank RT joints.

• Plant and utilities piping inspection; Calculation and recommendation for remaining life of equipment.

• Execution and co-ordination of Intelligent Pigging Process for cross country pipelines.

• HSEQ compliance working with Permit to Work System fully integrated at PRL.
