Project # 1 : Atlas Validation Tool

Organization : Textech International Pvt Ltd.

Client : Lonely Planet.

Description: This Project is used to connects the Atlas database and

validates the 'place of interest' elements, like emails, url's,

phone numbers, time format etc., Updates the missing or

unformatted data's into the database and Generates a validation

report as a spread sheet.

Project # 2 : One touch iPad - Double Key Double Compare

Organization : Textech International Pvt Ltd.

Duration : 1 year

Description:

. To extract the data from the source PDF and converting it into

the epub format in a batch level.

. To examine the implications of using Content Structural

Management as the automation to XML/E-Book for the multi lingual

formatted inputs/outputs.

. eBooks in the .epub format will be able to read them using a

wide range of software and eletronic book devices including the

iPhone (using the Stanza eBook Reader), the Bookworm online

reader, Adobe Digital Editions and the Sony Readers (PRS-

700/505).

Achievements: The project is very helpful to the conversion team to

generate the epub format quickly with very less manual

intervention.

Project # 3 : e-pub index tool

Description: This tool will open chapter folder, reads the .html

chapter files and place ID for all the paragraph for those

chapters in the form of xml tag, and again it opens the index

file, reads the key term which are all available in the index,

match with the chapters, and places anchored reference tag for

those matched key terms in index file with same ID.

Achievements: The project is very helpful to Reduces effort to provide and

verify the links between chapter and the index.

Project # 4 : Compare Log Tool

Technical Environment : Acrobat Professional 9.0, Gemini Plug-in,

PERL

Duration : 6-months

Description: The purpose of the tool is to extract the compared

instances inside a PDF compare report and shown in a excel

format thereby enabling the user to get a quick view of the

instances compared inside the report. Also, the log file has

been build with functionality to help user identify the

categories of the compared instances along with input on what

action is needed from user.

Achievements: The project is very helpful to reduces effort to verify PDF

compare report and allows the user to follow a systematic

approach rather than random.

Project # 5 : WOEID Tool (where-on-earth-id)

Organization : Textech International Pvt Ltd.

Client : Textech International Pvt Ltd.

Technical Environment : perl, geoplanet-explorer, MySql.

Duration : 3-months

Description: This Project is used to assign a GeoPlanet where-on-earth-

id (WOEID) to every place in atlas, where a corresponding WOEID

exists. The result will be a spreadsheet with 4 columns: Atlas

Place Name, Atlas Place ID, GeoPlanet Place Name, WOEID. Here

Win32::OLE, WWW::Mechanize, and Tk::Dialog modules are used to

control the excel, to get the input through front end and to

automating interaction with websites.

Achievements: This project developed is very useful for the Service allows

you to look up the unique identifier - called the Where on

Earth ID, or WOEID - for almost any named place on the Earth

Project # 6 : Validation Engine for E-Books and Report

Organization : Textech International Pvt Ltd.

Client (In-house) : Textech International Pvt Ltd.

Technical Environment : Perl, MS-Office, MySQL

Duration : 5-months

Description: In this project the validation is DTD independent. It will

check the conditions like ISBN order, author name ordering,

folder structure validation, file size validation, css

validation etc. Here the input will be selected from Perl/TK

front end and the Perl application will validate the

e-books and the validation reports is generated as excel

spreadsheet using Win32::OLE and that will be uploaded into

database.
