WORK EXPERIENCE

Hewlett -Packard Company November 2007 to present

Research & Development Department

Minnetonka, Minnesota

Software Design Engineer/ R&D Color Engineer:

1. Developed embedded software code for the Nucleus and Integrity RTOS

implementation to the large - format Hewlett - Packard printers.

2. Coded the software for the implementation of the embedded color

measurement devices (I2C bus communication and (X-Rite) technology)

into printer's functional architecture.

3. Designed, configured and overseen complex workflow testing procedures

and methods for evaluating the ICC-profile accuracy, color

device performance analysis and digital UV-ink printers quality

control.

4. Represented our R&D Lab on global scale projects spanning multiple

business units within Hewlett-Packard to configuring

standardized color procedures, methods and

measurement techniques for color quality evaluation and printing workflow.

MacDermid ColorSpan Company September 1999 to

October 2007

Research & Development Department

Minnetonka, Minnesota

Software Design Engineer/ R&D Color Engineer:

1. Created ColorSpan's Kodiak software tool for printer ICC profiling.

. 2. Developed color-calibration software and multi-density ink

separation algorithms for the printing process.

3. Implemented a novel procedure to generate mono-chrome(multi-

density black) printer ICC profiles.

4. Developed computational geometry and computer graphic algorithms

for gamut mapping, cLUT-grid interpolation, K-channel

preservation and UCR/GCR implementation.

5. Developed R&D software tool for gamut volume calculation and

surface visualization.

6. Coded software tools for color space transformation (CIELAB,

CIEXYZ, CIECAM97s, CIECAM02).

7. Coded the software for implementation of Dtp22, Dtp41, I1-color

measurement devices.

8. Configured and overseen the Lab technicians team performing the

color workflow for ICC profile quality tests, error

evaluation procedures, data interpretation and analysis.

9. 60% -65% of the ColorSpan printer costumers/buyers were the users

of the Color Management software package

developed as a result of my R&D work.

Washington State University June

1998 to June1999

Department of Physics

Pullman, Washington

Post-Doctoral Research Associate:

1. Configured and performed time-resolved optical measurements on

amorphous-Si using femto - second laser pulses in pump-

probe experiments.

2. Software development (MATLAB, LABVIEW) for power spectrum

measurements..

3. Taught undergraduate physics courses for engineering students.

The University of Wyoming July

1997 to May 1998

Department of Physics and Astronomy

Laramie, Wyoming

Lecturer:

1. Quantum Mechanics, Thermodynamics and Physical Statics course

teaching.

2. Created software tools for nonlinear curve fitting and computer

simulations of nonlinear optical phenomena (parametric

processes, harmonic generation in Na vapor, hyper-Raman

spectroscopy).

3. Created software programs to solve numerically (using Runge-Kutta

methods), the matter - field interaction (Maxwell-Block

equations) and electromagnetic wave propagation.
