SKILLS: Proficient in C/C++ in Linux and Windows Environments. Have
extensive background in MATLAB especially for digital signal processing
algorithm development and simulation.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Software and Firmware Work
. Worked with hardware vendor to specify and procure digital hardware to
demonstrate algorithms such as directional estimation and beamforming to
our sponsors.
. Responsible for developing the software (C/C++) and firmware (VHDL) for
our hardware (typically consisting of A/D converters connected to Xilinx
FPGAs which is connected to a PC or an embedded processor) to demonstrate
various aspects of digital beamforming and directional estimation.
. Other software responsibility includes working with our scientists to
develop a C program to tile polyomino of various shapes.
Basic Research and Algorithm Development
. Developed and modeled an innovative antenna array architecture for
wideband RADAR (see [1] below)
. Analyzed and simulated numerous digital signal processing algorithms for
array processing.
. Algorithms considered include MUSIC and related for directional
estimation, I/Q decomposition, sophisticated subbanding filter, adaptive
beamforming, and low computational complexity fractional sampling delay
filter to delay sampled data by fractional of the sampling period.
. Analyzed and simulated behaviors of the algorithms above using MATLAB.
Program Management
. Served as the program manager for multiple $850K SBIR programs.
. Programs that I managed include "Directional Estimation for Wideband
Sources", "Signal Processing to Counter Jamming", and "Waveform
Generation for MIMO RADAR."
. Worked with companies to develop algorithms and build hardware prototypes
to demonstrate key concepts.
Teaching Assistant
. Served as the head teaching assistant at Tufts.
. Coordinated and run the lab portion of the circuit theory class with 170
students.
