Manager of Tax and Regulatory Reporting 2009-2010

Responsibilities at this $250 million publicly traded, multi-state company

included compliance and planning for income, real estate and transactional

taxes, staff supervision, planning related to state and federal

regulations, and providing financial data to support regulatory filings.

Served as an officer at all of the Minnesota-based entities.

. Revised procedures to comply with changes in business and taxation

requirements.

. Reduced property tax valuations $3,000,000, which saved

approximately $45,000 by identifying and correcting errors in

reporting process.

Unit Controller 2008-2009

Responsible for accounting operations in Minnesota (general ledger and

reporting, monthly closings, accounts payable, budgeting and related SOX

compliance). Handled five direct reports.

. Served as member of multiple teams that planned and executed the

conversion of accounting and billing systems used by 2008's

acquisitions to Lawson and Siebel.

. Increased annual revenues $300,000 by identifying a regulatory

loophole and championing a change in the corporate overhead

allocation process.

Held overall responsibility for all financial operations at this privately

held group with over $20 million in revenues. Principal areas of focus

included strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, external

audit, payroll, regulatory reporting, financing, and financial reporting,

as well as handling five to six direct reports.

. Planned, led, and executed accounting system conversion to Microsoft

Dynamics and account numbering conversion to meet change in

regulatory requirements.

. Served as co-leader of billing system conversion team.

. Member of the executive team that doubled the group's size. The

growth was partially driven through the use of joint ventures to

take advantage of strategic opportunities while mitigating risk.
