PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
. Inventory Tracking Application for Smart Pallet using RFID
Sept 2009 - May 2010
o Aim of the project was to construct hardware and software that can
tract and report inventory real-time.
o Sketched entire model using Google sketchup-3D Tool.
o Designed pallet mounted with antennas to read RFID tags for
continuous monitoring of products during shipment.
o Designed software based on client-server methodology where client
refers to application interface and server refers to database where
all the tag information is stored.
o A software referred to as middleware is installed on the computer
that is directly connected to "RFID" Reader which performs the
operation of inputting data (tag ID) read by the reader in to the
server.
o Performed reliability test for different antenna position.
o Project was done in collaboration with client, EASTMAN KODAK.
. Corporate R&D - Mobile Operating System and Application
May 2008 - Mar 2009
o Aim of the project was to prevent data loss during device loss of
theft.
o Performed market survey to select 2 mobile OS and 2 mobile devices
used by business clients.
o Developing application for Windows Mobile OS and BlackBerry OS that
will disable the mobile device through the database server to
protect the data.
o Designing interface system for communication between database
server and mobile device.
o Test the communication system for each of the devices selected.
o Project was done in collaboration with client, PAETEC
COMMUNICATIONS.
PROJECTS
. PLC Based Process Control for Vending Machine
Sept 2008 - Dec 2008
o Aim of the project was to design a PLC controlled vending machine
using SLC 500 controller.
o The ladder logic program was developed using RS Logic 500 to
dispense the items according to the customers need.
o The preliminary electrical and hydraulic schematic for the process
control was developed using AUTOCAD-2008.
. Active Car Suspension System
Dec 2007 - Mar
2008
o Aim of the project was to improve the ride quality by reducing the
output oscillations due to uneven road surface.
o Modeled active car suspension system using state feedback
controller and robust controller.
o Designed controller using Matlab Robust Control Toolbox.
. Smart Parking Application using RFID Technology
Mar 2007- Jun 2008
o Aim of the project was to develop a modern and fast operating
parking- lot system using RFID technology.
o Designed a reliable parking-lot scheme using RFID technology.
o Efficient parking-lot check-in and check-out algorithm were
developed.
. Planar Compact Antenna
Jan
2007 - Mar 2007
o Aim of the project was to develop compact antennas having
applications under various compact electronic devices.
o Real-time simulations were performed using Ansoft simulation
software to optimize design parameters of microstrip patch antenna
to achieve the desired results.
o The designed antennas were fabricated and tested at Indian
Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai.
