From: Stephanie C Dreyfuss [mailto:*******@*******.***]

Subject: Project Management

Reference for Michael LeGardeur Sr

Over a period of approximately a year, Michael was the project manager of a

Provider Data File systems installation and conversion. I was the

Executive sponsor of the project and the Vice President of the area with

ownership of the system and responsibility to populate and maintain it.

When Michael took over this responsibility, the project, PIMS, was several

years overdue and had no support internally, except from my area. The

successful implementation, however, required significant cooperation and

resource commitments from other area. It also lacked any timelines for

implementation. Michael established a weekly review with me, to include the

other key members of the implementation team. He developed clear, well

established interim goals and time lines. If interim goals were not met,

he was prepared with explanations, new time lines and alternatives if

necessary. His commitment and determination to meeting the deadlines and

targets was unwavering. By his skillful management of the process and the

stakeholders, he allowed me to disengage from managing any day to day

interactions or conflicts. His documentation provided me with the tools I

needed to report to my senior management on the progress of the PIMS

project and any roadblocks. Michael maintained an extremely positive

attitude, truly was able to draw out the best in people and developed

strong relationships with the parties involved in the project. He provided

to me and to the whole project team a level of accountability that was

critical to the success of the project. Michael's leadership,

organization, and skills enabled the project to be completed on time and

within budget.
