Support Sales team with technical sale of a multiple gigabyte
appliance that resides inline and identifies, categorizes,
reports on and manages bandwidth between internal and external
networks through Deep Packet Inspection technology which
inspects layers 4 through 7 of the OSI and examines packet
behavior, protocol signatures and other identification
methods. Also support a security product that reports on
DDOS and Spam attacks through placing probes in strategic
aggregate network points and examining all packets so to
determine behavior anomalies. The product is for high
speed/throughput provider networks. I give face to face
presentations, manage the technical component of meetings,
perform weekly webinars and conduct technical conference
calls. Responsible for maintaining relationship with
customers from a technical perspective and manage product
evaluations and train customers in a classroom environment. I
also perform installations and execute product upgrades.

As a Sr. Sales Engineer I provided the sales staff with pre-
sales support for potential customers and technical account
management to existing customers with our OSS product. I was
responsible for technical presentations, product demonstrations
and technical support writing RFP's and RFI's and was the
technical lead in closing the UUNET (WorldCom) multi-million
dollar sale. I was responsible for delivering Test and
Evaluation projects ranging from proof of concept to the
integration of the product into a test or production network.
Using Resolve, CrossKeys feature product enabled the SE to
consult to providers and enterprise networks the performance of
their IP, Frame Relay, ATM, Voice and DSL networks providing
advise for capacity planning, provisioning, SLA monitoring and
proactive monitoring and to preempt network problems. As an SE,
I provide solutions for analysis, and up to the moment
reporting of the performance of core backbone and edge networks
and their corresponding devices such as routers, switches,
ports and circuits. The SE enables service providers to analyze
new market opportunities, such as QOS and SLA based services
and provided analysis for future provisioning and network
grooming.

Timestep provided a Secure VPN solution utilizing hardware, and
software combination of IPSEC technology for customers to
create a secure virtual session over any public network.
TimeStep provided hardware gateways at line speed and PC
software for remote hosts, controlled by a central management
system which included a PKI infrastructure including a
Certificate Authority creating and authenticating X.509 digital
certificates for every VPN session between remote sites and
users and their Central Network. I provided pre-sales support
for several sales team members and conducted technical
presentations at meetings and tradeshows.

Infonet Services provides managed network services to global
companies enabling them to connect offices using VPN technology
nationally and internationally. The product includes fully
managed premise equipment and/or access to Infonet's global ATM
backbone network. Some of the options include IP, ATM, Frame
Relay and X.25 site to site data delivery as well as voice over
IP services and SAN solutions. As a Sr. Sales engineer, I
provided the sales staff with pre-sales support for potential
customers and designed customized solutions using Infonet's
Customized Networking Options technology providing a cost
effective solution without compromising performance. Support
included customer presentations, technical proposals, sales
strategy sessions with the sales team and liaison with the
prospective technical management team. I designed and supported
solutions for customers such as Iridium, Orbcomm, Chubb
Insurance, and Warner-Lambert (Pfizer).
