Vice President of Finance (2001 - 2010)

Controller (1998 - 2001)

From the company's beginning to its current size of 120 employees and

almost $40 million in revenue, established and managed the accounting and

finance, administrative and human resource functions. Implemented

accounting and planning systems, including enterprise resource planning and

customer relationship management systems. Position reported to the CEO.

. Developed business plan for start-up and raised over $50 million by

negotiating and closing five rounds of venture financing.

. Secured $5 million in venture debt, two convertible note offerings, and

lease financing, as well as arranging credit lines with several banks

which provided a lower cost of funds than equity financing alone.

. Identified market need and created innovative product offerings (Promise

and VBOSS). Key member of marketing team responsible for launching

Controller - DataComm Leasing Corporation (1996 -1998)

Reporting to the Corporate Controller and the Vice-President/Treasurer,

this position was responsible for the financial performance of GDC's

leasing subsidiary, managing fifteen employees. Acted as assistant

treasurer for the parent company, controlling daily cash management and

banking relationships.

. Accelerated the return of off-rent assets. Increased collected rents by

$20,000 per month.

. Instituted a sales and remarketing program which increased inventory

turnover from 1,000 to 4,000 assets per year and created $800,000 profit.

. Reduced subsidy expense by $100,000 per year for leases sold to third

parties.

Engineering Finance Manager (1986 - 1996)

Reporting to the Corporate Controller and the Vice-President of

Engineering, this position was responsible for the financial performance of

global product development at four research & development centers around

the world with an annual budget in excess of $50 million.

. Managed financial arrangements for joint development agreements between

GDC and foreign entities including BIRD (Israel - United States

Binational Industrial Research and Development) Foundation and the

Province of Quebec which doubled funds available for product development

. Defined criteria and developed procedures to capitalize software
